    Technical Project Manager (Packet Core)

    Job Description:

    We are looking for a Packet Core Technical Project manager with hands on engineering and design experience to deliver services in Middle East and Africa Region, The Technical Project Manager is responsible to coordinate all Technical topics end-to-end in the Project as defined in Customer contract in terms of quality, risk, and time from delivery approach preparation through deployment, Customer acceptance and Care phase. Acts as primary Technical interface and first Technical escalation point within the Customer project. Perform Engineering (deployment, Integration, and testing) and design (HLD/LLD development) activities on need basis.

    Key Tasks

    1. Technical contact and reference person for small, mid-sized and complex projects.
    2. Working together with Project management and technical staff 
    3. Manages all the Technical management activities defined in Customer contract with small /medium business volume and average complexity and risk probability, in terms of quality, risk and time from delivery approach preparation through deployment, customer acceptance and care phase. 
    4. Acts as primary Technical interface and first Technical escalation point within the Customer project (*The term “Customer project” refers generally to all forms of Nokia customer contracts; projects with a definitive start and end; and, programs – collections of projects managed together for business benefits which may contain an ongoing operations business.)
    5.  Ensures operational continuity and smooth execution as well as network availability by implementing proactively BG/BL guidelines and PM Methodology. 
    6. Supports Project Execution Owner (PEO) in project planning and delivery Acceptance. 
    7. Validates the workload involved and expertise needed related to technical tasks. Ensures resource management related to technical tasks regarding allocation, induction, release and expertise needed. 
    8. Leads technical activities during execution and care phase, for instance Core Network Implementation, System Acceptance, Multi-Vendor Interface Verification, Fault and Technical Escalation Management, Preventive Care and HW/SW update and upgrade. 
    9. Performs a Technical Risk Analysis. Proposes and implements risk mitigation actions. 
    10. Supports Project Execution Owner (PEO) to ensure delivery handover to regular operations and to assure actions have been successfully implemented. 
    11.  Ensures network availability with Care project team.
    12.  Identifies new technical management related opportunities to expand contracts with the customer (e.g. network expansion, new features, software corrections implementations). 
    13. Deployment and vertical integration of Cloud Packet Core nodes (CMM/CMG/NRD)
    14. Horizontal integration of Cloud Packet Core nodes with other network elements (e.g. Radio, PCRF, SDM) and solutions… (VoLTE, VoWiFi).
    15. Execute Testing for PoCs, Trials and Commercial Projects
    16. Deliver Cloud Packet Core HLDs and LLDs
    17. When applicable supports Solution Managers to review adopted solutions and assumptions

    Technical Skills

    1. Strong understanding of 3gpp call flows, protocol stacks and good hands-on experience in Evolved Packet Core solutions from one or more vendors (MME, SGSN, SPGW, TWAG, ePDG). It will be an added advantage to have experience & competency to handle Nokia Cloud Core Nokia Evolve Packet Core (EPC) and Cloud Packet Core (CPC) solutions like FNS, FNG, CMM, CMG etc
    2. Hands on experience on Packet core projects including engineering and design responsibilities
    3. Knowledge and experience on the 3G/4G/5G, VoLTE and VoWiFi Technologies.
    4. Strong knowledge of 4G/5G architecture, Cloud Infrastructure, and Cloud Native architecture
    5. Good working experience on EPC solution design, platform, and application deployment (on VMware, openstack, kubernates), system configuration, integration with 3gpp peer nodes, LTE call flow testing, troubleshooting, supporting system go-live and software upgrades
    6. Knowledge of all or part of the set of protocols for IP/MPLS: IGP, BGP, RSVP, LDP, etc…
    7. Experience of deployment in Cloud environment like VMware, CBIS, CMM, openstack and Cloud Infrastructure – Compute, Network, Storage & Back-up. Certification will have added advantage.
    8. Knowledge in domains like SS7, Diameter, Linux, Shell scripting, Yaml files.
    9. IP certifications in one or more suppliers (Nokia SRC, Cisco, Juniper) are highly recommended, priority given to Nokia SRC certification.
    10. Experience with planning and deployment on VMWare/NFV/Cloud based Data Centres

    Solution Architect (Packet Core)

    Job Description:

    We are looking for a Packet Core Solution Architect with hands on engineering and design experience to deliver services in Middle East and Africa Region. The Packet Core solution Architect provides leadership and a senior level solution consulting service in customer project, ability to understand customer’s business and technical needs and ability to translate them into a solution, Designs and executes complex integration, operations or performance solutions for customers & Shares professional knowledge to guide others. Perform Engineering (deployment, Integration, and testing) activities and technical project management on need basis.

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Provides level solution consulting service, having expertise in Packet Core Portfolio, acts as a source of expertise for colleagues
    2. Design and leads the identification and specification of complex solutions in complex customer environment
    3. Support Sales/Presales Team for customer Solutions during sales/presales phases
    4. Take ownership and accountability of customer specific deliveries and provide technical support and guidance during solution design for new requirements, problem resolution for critical / complex issues
    5. Develop detailed customer solution design & architecture and perform technical risk evaluation for overall technical solution
    6. Lead the technical implementation during the delivery phase
    7. Present offered solution design/architecture to customer and verify/adapt it during realization phase
    8. Liaise with different stakeholders well as with Product Managers, Project manager and 3rd party product manager to align customer requirements with available generic solutions, Nokia products and 3rd party products
    9. Create and maintain end-to-end architecture artifacts including but not limited to, High Level design, interface design document, process design document, sequence diagrams, data flow diagrams and data models across the ecosystem.

    Domain Solution Architect

    Job Description

    We are looking for an experienced charging systems solution architect, preferably having Nokia Charging Solution experience to develop NCC/Charging Architecture and Design that meets the specifications; is implementable; meets cost, time to market and quality constraint. Role will require working onsite with Nokia customer and project team for successful implementation of charging solution

    Job Responsibilities & Competencies

    1. Development of NCC/Charging Solution Architecture and High Level Design related directly or indirectly to the convergent charging domain.
    2. Use Case Analysis
    3. Perform Use Case Analysis, scenario determination and develop sequence diagrams to support the requirements analysis, architecture & high-level design activities.

    Skills & Requirements:

    1. 10+ experience as a charging/BSS Solution Architecture, Technical Management, or similar technical leadership role in telecommunication industry.
    2. Experience with telecom charging systems (OCS) delivery as a software engineer or a solution architect
    3. Experience in the Cloud domain with expertise in virtual and cloud native network workloads having good understanding of cloud infrastructure, virtualization, and containerized concepts.
    4. Experience with private and public cloud platforms.
    5. Solution architecture experience in application and infrastructure.
    6. Telecommunication architecture experience: across IT and Core (OCS/PS/CS) domains to manage and design solutions at scale
    7. Hands-on experience in all telecom protocols (Diameter, SS7, …)
    8. Good understanding of 4G/5G networks with virtual & cloud-native network functions deployed on virtualized network/bare metal.
    9. Solid understanding of charging systems network and tariff related design and use cases.
    10. Comfort and experience with cross-organizational communication; excellent written and verbal communication skills. Written and verbal fluency in English language is required.
    11. Experience working independently to design, plan, and execute technical projects
    12. Demonstrated deep knowledge of technical program management and engineering best practices

    Project Manager (VoLTE Core)

    Job Description

    The Customer Project Manager is accountable for an external customer programme (collection of projects managed together for business benefits) or project for an assigned product and / or service scope. Assigns tasks to the project team and manages project resources and stakeholders, ensuring the project is delivered in scope of contractual obligations and within forecasted costs, time, and required quality. Responsible for the overall project success with respect to external customer satisfaction, financial results, health & safety control activities, and operational services delivery performance. End-to-end project planning and risk and opportunity management.

    Responsibilities

    1. Manages customer programme (collection of projects managed together for business benefits) or project* for a defined product and / or service scope for a medium / large and / or complex customer contract with medium / high risk probability.
    2. Contract might be defined as key project by BG / market. Delivers the operational and project single/multiple BG / BUs scope to the customer.
    3. Ensures all project and operational management is in full alignment with Nokia Mode of Operation (MoO), BG / BL guidelines and the PM@Nokia methodology.
    4. Plans customer project and keeps plan updated to reflect and anticipate changes by coordinating change management on all aspects affecting cost, scope, schedule and quality (CSSQ).
    5. Assures consistency among project financial, product and service forecast activities.
    6. Participates in pre-sales and sales process activities.
    7. Determines delivery approach alternatives and manages the selection of the final recommended approach to delivery.
