Main purpose of the position:

• Drive growth and market leads of Insulated panels and Cold Room Solutions as a business, accelerate their penetration in order to achieve maximum levels of volume, revenue, yield and profit.

Key responsibilities:

• Liaise with cross functional teams and partners to actualize new value addition propositions and products for customers within Kenya, both manufactured and traded
• Increase revenue and contribution from Solution Sales for the segment
• Ensure allocated Sales target are achieved within the set timeline
• Explore and develop new business opportunity across multiple segments for application of Pre-fab insulated panels & Cold room solutions within Kenya
• Liaison with relevant industry specific professional association, corporations, co-operatives and government agencies to leverage potential Pre-fab Insulated panels & cold chain development solutions in line with reporting manager
• Ensure timely and accurate reports as required by the reporting manager
• Monitor competitive activity and trends within the industry and territory
• Identify gaps in the business current portfolio of solutions and traded items within Kenya
• Proactively identify, engage in and assist in strategic solution sales based on targeted products and training of sales staff and customers
• Build go to market strategy for Building Solutions (traded and manufactured accessories)

Requirements
Qualifications required:

• Minimum academic qualification: Bachelor’s Degree – Sales & Marketing, Business Management, Engineering
• Qualifications as an added advantage: Postgraduate qualifications such as MBA or a Diploma is Sales and Marketing
• Professional registration: Sales, Marketing or Engineering Bodies

Experience required:

• General work experience (years): 5years in sales preferably in Steel Industry or Building/Construction Materials
• Specific to the position (level/discipline/years): 3 years dealing with Insulated/ Cold Room Panel Sales
• Industry: Steel/Building/Construction

Description

• To ensure that material is processed through relevant roll forming machine by following the standard operating procedures and ensuring quality of the output product.
• To ensure production volumes are met as per respective targets provided.
• Observe safety by using PPE’S all the time.
• Carry out house keeping at respective workplace

Requirements

• O - level and a craft certificate in Engineering or certificate in Engineering or Trade Test Certificate
• Minimum of 2 years of practical experience in a manufacturing or engineering industry Computer Literacy

Description

• Overall Supervision of production, manpower and quality at Roll Forming section.
• Supervising the Roll Forming process, ensuring optimal production, Safety of manpower, and reduction on avoidable delays.
• Meet production targets through shift wise execution of Production Programmes at Roll Forming section.
• Monitoring product and Quality standards – to ensure that products are produced on time and are of good acceptable quality.
• Ensuring usage of systems of production tracking (SAP) and quality control.
• Participating in finding solutions for repetitive equipment failures and product complaints.
• Timely reporting of equipment health issues – for timely address to reduce on downtime.
• Actively participate in problem solving for safety, productivity and quality improvement.
• Control of material such as strapping wire, lifting belts / tongs and Power at finishing ensuring that they conform to the Budget.
• Supervising and motivating a team of workers; through effective supervision and solving /reporting of people issues where applicable.
• Ensure Team compliance to Quality, Environment, Health and Safety. Supervise, participate and support 5K activities at Roll Forming.

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma – Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Chemical Engineering or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution.
• Minimum of 5 years’ relevant work experience in steel industry.
• Knowledge in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, Health and Safety.
• Ability to supervise and coordinate workforce with passion to achieve results.
• Proficiency in computer software applications; MS Word / Excel/ Power point.

Description

• Operating of overhead cranes – to lift and transfer coils, Profiled sheets, pallets, and any other loads assigned as per instructions.
• Ensuring safety of equipment, loads being transferred and people involved are not compromised.
• Carry out house keeping and autonomous maintenance.
• Report on any crane abnormality defects to Pickling Line Supervisor

Requirements

• Minimum academic qualification: KCSE and a certificate in crane operation.
• Minimum of 2 year relevant work experience in Cranes Opearations.
• Knowledge in 5K & Autonomous Maintenance

Description

• Ensure that production is executed as per plan.
• Compile and submit production reports.
• Ensure compliance to quality standards'
• Schedule work at the Metal Coating Line.
• Manage shift manpower placement as per staff strength and ensure discipline of crews in the shift.
• Provide technical support for daily production activities at Metal Coating Line.
• Facilitate 5K activities and autonomous maintenance programmes.
• Implement ISO 9001/14001 practice.
• Ensure adequate production/quality records are maintained for shift.
• Ensure Roll parameters and availability are adequate for continuity of shift production plan provided.
• Monitor critical parameters for rolling (coolant, input & output material, rolls) and initiate correction of any abnormal deviation.
• Ensure safety of persons at Metal Coating Line and safe operation of equipment

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Production, Chemical, Industrial or equivalent).
• SAP knowledge and computer literate
• Minimum of 5 years’ relevant work experience in steel manufacturing industry.
• Be a registered member of engineering professional body
