    HR Coordinator

    As a member of the HR Department at Eni Kenya you will be responsible for:

    • Applying HR and business knowledge evidencing appropriate decision-making skills.
    • Advising managers on the terms and conditions of employment and knowledge share best practice with them.
    • Supporting the HR Manager in developing the HR policy and procedures to drive performance and mitigate disputes.
    • Implementing learning and development policy.
    • Supporting in reporting and proposals for benefits for employees and managers.
    • Administering payroll and payroll records and keep accounts appraised of any changes.
    • Supporting the recruitment process – this may include writing job descriptions and preparing interview questions and application forms etc.
    • Carrying out new starter inductions.
    • Continuously monitor and review the application of HR policies and processes.
    • Participating in the implementation of specific projects, procedures, and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of the organisation.
    • Supporting change management processes.
    • Maintaining records of personnel-related data in both paper and the database and ensure all employment requirements are met.
    • Monitoring attendance of training and supporting the planning.
    • Producing and submitting reports on general HR activity.

    This is the opportunity for you if you have these skills and requirements:

    • Master’s degree in human resources management, Psychology, or a business-related subject.
    • A CIPD qualification from IHRM institute is also expected. An MBA in human resource management is an alternative.
    • Fluent in English
    • Deep knowledge of MS Office, SAP
    • Exceptional organizational and communication skills is required together with proven leadership capabilities and solid knowledge of employment legislation and its application.
    • Being proactive team players with strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
    • Experienced in developing and supporting HR manager through change.
    • An ability to maintain confidentiality and act with discretion and diplomacy is crucial.

    Hse Superintendent Agri Hub Makueni

    As a member of the Operations Department, you will be responsible for:

    • Assisting, planning and implementing safety policies and procedures in compliance with local and state regulations, including Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Department of Transportation (DOT).
    • Providing HSE training, awareness and induction on site to staff, contractors and other relevant parties.
    • Performing safety audits and inspections, preparing written reports of findings and recommendations for corrective or preventive measures where indicated, and following up to ensure measures have been implemented.
    • First line responsibility for incident investigations, including but not limited to investigating, making initial recommendations and putting measures in place to prevent recurrence.
    • Assisting in the development, evaluation and upgrading of safety programs.
    • Keeping HSE statistical records, such as incidents, accidents, near-misses and working hours on site.
    • Ensuring the well-being of the workforce and HSE compliance within the plant.
    • Keeping HSE registers up to date, including renewals of permits and licenses.
    • Assisting the Plant Manager in the implementation of accident-prevention and environmental impact activities on site.
    • Carrying out risk assessments and considering how risks could be reduced, including medical check-ups for staff.
    • Outlining safe operational procedures which identify and take account of all relevant hazards.
    • Advising on a range of specialist areas, e.g. fire regulations, hazardous substances, noise, safeguarding machinery, use of PPEs and occupational diseases.
    • Acting as Emergency coordinator on site.
    • Monitoring environmental footprint on site.
    • Compiling monthly site HSE reports.
    • Implementing emergency and crisis management plans on site.
    • Other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager.

    This is the opportunity for you if you have these skills and requirements:

    • Environmental Engineering/environmental studies degree or diploma.
    • Fluent in English.
    • Relevant experience as HSE Officer, preferably in a vegetable oil extraction plant or a busy manufacturing plant.
    • Proven knowledge of and experience with HSE management systems in an industrial setting.
    • Knowledge of ISO safety, quality and environmental standards (preferred).
    • OHS certification or equivalent. Risk Assessor certification would be an advantage.
    • Auditing and Root Cause investigation technique.
    • Quality control and assurance.
    • Project management.
    • Flexibility, results oriented, problem-solving, decision-making and good communication skills.
