    Cyber Security Analyst

    Job Purpose

    This position is responsible for implementation and support of the global cyber security strategy based on the applicable cyber security framework, to reduce the risk of a cyber security incident according to the risk appetite of HEINEKEN and KWAL. Additionally, raise wider cyber security awareness in KWAL.

    Main Responsibilities

    Security Operations

    • Assist with the implementation of the global security standards and procedures by KWAL, D&T and Supply chain teams.
    • Assist the operational cyber security teams in the design of controls, standards and procedures that have broad implications, requiring systems integration of one or more technical platforms
    • Assist with risk reviews using the risk management procedure for all new local programs/services to be deployed in the KWAL operational environment and help veto programs which do not comply with HEINEKEN’s security standards.
    • Assist with compliance assessments of the KWAL OpCo versus the Information Security Standard (ISS) by testing the ISS controls as detailed in the Information Security Procedure (ISP)
    • Being an ICT and PCD Security Advisor for KWAL in their remit for any IT security breach or new initiative.
    • Assist with digital investigations upon request of Local OpCo/HR or Legal teams.

    Business Continuity (BC) and Disaster Recovery (DR)

    • Assist with the development and annual review/testing of functional DR/BCP plans 
    • Interrogate and review DR and BCP plans for all D&T programmes
    • Coordinate with other teams to mitigate and resolve security incidents.
    • Respond to security incidents and conduct thorough investigations.

    Vulnerability Management

    • Perform regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
    • Identify and prioritize vulnerabilities based on risk.
    • Work with IT teams to remediate identified vulnerabilities. Analyze and interpret security logs to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
    • Monitor security alerts and events from various sources.
    • Conduct threat intelligence research to stay updated on emerging threats.

    Security Policy and Compliance

    • Ensure compliance with relevant security standards and policies.
    • Assist with the annual review process.
    • Assist with the development of PCD security, D&T policies, procedures and standards

    Security Awareness

    • Assist with ICT and PCD Security Awareness campaigns within KWAL. 
    • Conduct security awareness training for employees.
    • Assist with defining, designing and deploying ongoing educational assets to improve security across KWAL.

    Reporting and Documentation

    • Prepare detailed reports on security incidents, vulnerabilities, and mitigation efforts.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of security processes and procedures.

    Minimum Required Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience

    Academic Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Security or relevant field.

    Professional Qualifications

    • IT Security certifications for e.g. CISSP - Certified Information Systems Security Professional, Certified Ethical Hacker or equivalent.
    • CompTIA Security+, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator – Security, CCNP or related. 
    • FortiGate certification or equivalent Fortinet certifications.

    Experience 

    • At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role and 3+ years in cyber security, handling security incidents, and auditing.
    • Experience in global security control or operations, including implementing and managing security frameworks like the NIST Cybersecurity Framework.

    Legal Counsel

    Job Purpose

    This position is responsible for providing expert legal advice and support on a wide range of issues, including contract negotiation and management, legal and regulatory compliance, intellectual property, employment law, and corporate governance to drive responsible business conduct.

    Main Responsibilities

    Legal Advisory

    • Provide expert legal advice to management 
    • Create associations of trust and respect with key stakeholders
    • Deal with external parties (regulators, external counsel) ensuring the business’ legal interests are represented adeptly and ethically.
    • Draft agreements that effectively minimise risk  exposure while maximising legal rights
    • Proactively keep abreast of legislative changes that impact the business
    • Handle all potentially litigious matters and ensure where possible that recourse to courts is a last resort. In that regard, write letters of demand where appropriate and reply adequately to letters of threat from law firms and others
    • Ensure that the legal universe and registers are updated and comprehensive to support compliance.

    Intellectual Property

    • Manage the registration of new IP including trademarks, patents and designs and their renewals and updates on behalf of the Company, and collaborate with external service providers
    • Maintain up to date IP registers

    Case Management

    • Maintain and regularly update a record of all cases and legal holds involving the Company
    • Collaborate with external lawyers who are appointed to represent the Company in litigation matters 
    • Assist external lawyers in researching and preparing the Company’s cases either as plaintiffs, defendants or interested parties and vet all papers/documents to be filed by the lawyers on behalf of the Company
    • Engage with the Company’s external contacts, other lawyers, other persons and government officials with a view to resolving legal and general corporate and regulatory matters

    Compliance

    • Facilitate the roll out of Code of Business Conduct, legal and compliance policies to all staff members and relevant third parties, including communication and training
    • Communicate anti-bribery framework to key stakeholders
    • Maintain the regulatory universe, ensuring it is up to date, and communicate relevant changes to business units.
    • Implement and optimise all policies and procedures to meet legal requirements and business needs

    Ad-hoc Legal Matters 

    • Provide support in preparation and dispatch of meeting packs and facilitate meeting arrangements
    • Update internal and statutory registers - legal registers, contract register, directors and shareholders. 
    • Make required statutory filings on provided platforms eg Business Registration Services
    • Provide support and coordinate court case preparation - pleadings, witnesses, hearing dates and related matters
    • Ensure statutory compliance of subsidiaries with proper record keeping
    • Manage and co-ordinate ad-hoc legal projects
    • Liaison with regulatory bodies on behalf of the company, ensuring timely filing of statutory periodic returns
    • Provide support in legal matters arising from the Company's operations, including interactions with customers, suppliers, competitors, regulators and the public.
    • Draft and advise on commercial, financial, property and general agreements on behalf of the company.
    • Manage corporate business licenses and permits, and related application and renewal processes, and provide oversight to functions on their respective business licenses and permits

    Minimum Required Qualifications, Knowledge and Experience

    Academic Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB)
    • Postgraduate Diploma in Law from Kenya School of Law

    Professional Qualifications

    • Professional qualification in Law such as Certified Public Secretary of Kenya (CPS - K), or equivalent 
    • Professional membership with the Law Society of Kenya
    • Master’s degree in Law (LLM) is an added advantage
    • Professional membership with a professional body in the legal space such as data privacy is an added advantage

    Experience 

    • At least 6 years, 2 years’ experience in management role in a similar role or busy function
    • Proven experience as a Legal Counsel, in an FMCG or a Corporate environment is an added advantage
    • Practical experience in the use of MS packages and ERP systems

    People Business Partner - Commercial & Support

    Job Purpose

    This position is responsible for providing the strategic interface between HR and the specific function to embed a strategic approach to HR management and development that result in a more effective front-line delivery. The People Business Partner will play a crucial role in fostering positive labour relations, ensuring compliance with labour laws, and collaborating effectively with unionised employees, shop stewards, and trade unions within the business function they support.

    Main Responsibilities

    Strategic People Partnership 

    • Provide strategic HR partnership with business leaders
    • In collaboration with the HR Director,  implement the HR strategies, policies and practices that support the corporate vision, mission and strategic objectives of KWAL.
    • Provide people direction to maximise performance, sound employee relations, high staff morale and devise functional strategy to unlock full potential of the talents through diversity and inclusion
    • Contribute to the HR Leadership Team meaningfully to drive the people agenda for the overall business success and to maximize shareholders value, operating company profitability, market share and drive optimum cost efficiencies.
    • Attend departmental meetings regularly. 

    Organisational Effectiveness

    • Work with the departmental heads to design fit for purpose org structures.
    • Develop job profiles and arrange job evaluations as and when necessary.
    • Facilitate rollout of functional competencies in area of responsibility
    • Train managers and employees on HEINEKEN behaviours and values.

    Employee Relations

    • Guide business managers to ensure adherence to HR policies and practices as well applicable laws and regulations.
    • Manage Dispute and Grievance procedures
    • Negotiating Collective bargaining agreements with the union
    • Oversee dispute resolution involving employees, management and unions
    • Advise management on issues regarding union-management relations, such as contract negotiations
    • Handle CCMA matters (Conciliation, Arbitrations, reviews, Condonations, Rescission and Mediation
    • Ensure that robust Employee Relations policies are developed and implemented in alignment with the Group HR strategy and business needs 
    • Monitor labour legislation developments and implement appropriate strategies to ensure compliance and minimize business risk.  
    • Build and maintain excellent relationships between management, employees and employee representatives. 

    Culture, Diversity & Inclusion 

    • Work with people leaders to build engagement strategies and programs to support building an inclusive culture
    • Implement diversity metrics, tracking progress, and reporting on diversity and inclusion initiatives.
    • Analyse workforce demographics to identify areas for improvement and develop action plans.

    Data Insights 

    • Provide reporting and insights to senior leadership regarding employee engagement, retention, and workforce trends.
    • Provide analysis and insight and utilise talent data as a fundamental input into business planning and decisions
    • Use HR metrics and analytics to inform decision-making and improve HR programs and policies.
