    Procurement and Accounts Clerk

    About the role:

    M P Shah Hospital is looking to recruit a professional and evidence-driven person for a vacancy in the following position:
    The holder of the position is expected to maintain an efficient and accurate Accounting function.

    Responsibilities

    • Call suppliers and get quotations.
    • Do LPO’s once the capex form has been approved.
    • Update on the requirements for capex from the departments daily.
    • Update the Capex Monthly.
    • Do the GRN’s for items received.
    • Issue items to respective departments.
    • Ensure that items are tagged.
    • Record and provide all invoices for approval and forward them for payment processing.
    • Follow up on all outstanding ordering of invoices from departments.
    • Do weekly updates on undelivered LPO’s.
    • Do weekly updates on GRN’s not finalized from items delivered.
    • Update database of supplier’s contacts on a monthly basis.
    • Ensure all documents are filed by performing sequential checks on all files closed for the month.
    • Prepare official letters for suppliers for recommendation when necessary.
    • Summarize the monthly capex against the budget.
    • Ensure the asset register is updated and up to date with the current prices of the older assets purchased.
    • Assist the projects team with the ongoing project

    Qualification and requirements:

    • Basic accounting knowledge.
    • IT proficient.
    • Previous experience in an accounts office.
    • Excellent attention to detail.
    • Minimum of at least one year of experience working in a similar position.

    Critical Care Nurse

    About the role:

    The position holder is expected to provide general nursing care to Critical Patients.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Assess patients and develop care plans based on patients’ needs.
    • Document and validate all assessment data in the appropriate charts.
    • Safely administer and monitor medications given.
    • Demonstrate appropriate practice on infection prevention and control.
    • Prepare for and assist Doctors to perform various procedures within the scope of practice.
    • Prepare the patient for various diagnostic tests within the scope of practice.
    • Identify patient and family education needs and implements appropriate teaching.
    • Provide a safe environment for patients, family, and stakeholders.
    • Participate in continual nursing education and quality improvement.
    • Demonstrate effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
    • Exercise teamwork and collaboration in all spheres of practice.
    • Demonstrate a high level of respect, dignity, integrity, and trust.
    • Be responsible and accountable for your own practice.
    • Adhere to professional standards and ethics as required by the Nursing Council of Kenya.

    Qualification & Requirement

    • Diploma from a recognized school of nursing or University
    • Valid practicing license from the Nursing Council of Kenya.
    • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and ACLS.
    • Higher diploma in Critical Care Course.
    • 0-2 years of continuous clinical nursing experience in an acute care hospital.
    • Ability to identify the needs of the ICU patient and to plan effective interventions.
    • Ability to operate equipment used in care delivery in ICU.
    • Knowledge of the wide range of medications used in ICU.
    • Familiar with unit policies, procedures, and care protocols.

    Theatre Nurse

    About the role:

    The position holder is expected to provide general nursing care to patients suffering from general medical or surgical conditions.

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for high standard quality patient care,
    • Apply critical thinking skills to Interpret, analyse data to identify patient needs/deteriorating patient and escalate concerns.
    • Be accountable for judicious and efficient use of resources i.e. accurate and timely billing of ward stock, medications and consumables.Care for complex equipment through proper use, cleaning, storage and report any malfunctioning equipment
    • Able to work effectively in conjunction with clinical and non-clinical staff and family, to contribute to the delivery of high quality healthcare.
    • Assist in emergency nursing procedures as appropriate.
    • Accept responsibilities delegated by the Nurse in Charge or team leader.
    • Participate in data collection and monitoring of identified unit based quality indicators.
    • Mature and confident to work within a multidisciplinary team.
    • Build a positive multidisciplinary working relationship, respecting and valuing the contributions made by others and acting in a considerate, helpful and inclusive manner at all times.

    Qualifications:

    • Diploma KRCHN, KRN, KRM, BSN.
    • Peri-Operative Specialty qualification will be an added advantage
    • Valid practicing license from the Nursing Council of Kenya
    • Proficient in English and Basic computer skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
