    ICT Senior Applications Developer

    Position Summary and Key Responsibilities

    Position Scope:

    The overall responsibility of the Senior Applications Developer will be to provide leadership and direction to Applications Developers for implementation of financial solutions aimed at enabling provision of business solutions. The role holder is an active thought partner and an application visionary who shapes solution outcomes using expertise and best practice, in cooperation with the Head of ICT Architecture & Application Development and business stakeholders.  

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for ensuring comprehensive and complete documentation of the Application Development policies, procedures, guidelines and related processes.
    • Responsible for leadership of the IT Application Development team to implement quality and sustainable enterprise business solutions.
    • To ensure business requirements are in compliance with enterprise architecture and other guidelines that are to be considered 
    • Collaboration with stakeholders and functional areas to develop sustainable systems within business requirements to support business solutions.
    • Provide guidance and develop guidelines for capturing business requirements and ensure stakeholder awareness is done to ensure compliance. 
    • Manage the development unit resources; budget creation and reviews, resource augmentation, relationship building with vendors, external teams and various resource allocation.
    • Review performance of applications programs to ensure program efficiency, completeness of program documentation and for output alignment with needs of user departments 
    • Overseeing the management of the ICT application developers team, providing leadership, coaching, mentorship to the team and maintaining a high productivity culture.
    • Responsible for identifying and closing gaps in skills, processes, and resources within the development pillar of the department.
    • Required to set work streams, assign responsibilities, provide guidance and monitor progress and development of assigned staff.
    • Ensure to promptly escalate anomalies to procedure or any suspicious activities as per the laid down procedures.
    • Adhere to the Division’s service charter and ensure exceptional customer experience

    Position requirements

    Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Personal Attributes:

    • A Bachelor’s degree in ICT, Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or related field from a recognized university
    • Certification in Java or C# development 
    • Professional System development certification
    • Five (5) years’ progressive experience in IT field within the Banking Sector with three (3) years in an enterprise Architecture related environment
    • A senior level software developer experience with strong and successful technical lead experience
    • Excellent understanding of programming languages and other programming tools i.e. Android application development, Java programming (Java SE/ME/EE), JavaScript, C#
    • Very good knowledge of Web services (API), Windows
    • Operating Systems and an understanding of UNIX and Linux.

    ICT Architecture & Data Governance Manager

    Position Summary and Key Responsibilities

    Position Scope:

    The role holder is responsible for developing IT information models (defined data structures, schemas, information types and workflows) and related documentation for IT Systems in use by or to be procured by the Bank in line with Bank policy, Business Processes, Architecture and Best Practice, standards and methods. The job holder will also be responsible for providing a technology governance framework and set of standards to enable acquisition, development and deployment of IT solutions & services that maximize interoperation, re-use, minimize duplication, optimize use of IT assets, reduce incidents on service and overall simplify the IT environment across the Bank.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for ensuring comprehensive and complete documentation of the architecture framework, guidelines, related processes and stakeholder awareness.
    • Responsible for investigation of enterprise’ and customers’ requirements for the content and structure of information deliverables.
    • Lead governance and innovation in data as one of the areas of focus, through identification and enablement of data capabilities across the enterprise.
    • Architect data solutions ensuring that they are built for performance, fault tolerance and security with reusable patterns.
    • Propose data security measures and techniques and guide on their implementation.
    • Lead end-to end data lifecycle management activities and offer guidance to stakeholders

    Relationship Manager – Islamic Banking

    Position Scope:

    The role holder will be responsible for business growth within Islamic Banking segment through acquisition of new business and portfolio growth.     Manager, Sharia Compliance & Audit

    Position Summary and Key Responsibilities:

    Position Scope:

    This position is responsible for ensuring that all the transactions, activities, services and investments within Islamic Banking adhere to Shari’ah principles and guidelines. In addition, he/she will also be responsible for carrying out reviews & audits for assurance and enhance compliance with the set Shari’ah principles and guidelines as per the Bank’s and Shari’ah supervisory Board’s guidelines.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Implement the relevant Islamic Banking initiatives in line with the Islamic Banking strategy.
    • Review and examine all contracts, agreements, policies and transactions entered in to by the department, both deposit taking and financing (loan) instruments.
    • Maintain the calendar, documentation and other relevant documents in line with the role.
    • Perform research on Shari’ah aspects for each product before it’s presentation to the Shari’ah Supervisory Board for decision making.
    • Carry out periodical audits on all financing instruments done by the division.
    • Responsible for addressing Shari’ah related issues from the management, staff and clients to ensure adherence to the Shar’iah Principles and Guidelines.
    • Coordination and facilitation between the Bank and Shari’ah Supervisory Board and documentation thereof.
    • Facilitate and provide formal and informal training to the Bank’s staff on Islamic Finance.
    • Offer guidance to the staff and clients on Islamic financing instruments and related guidelines.
    • Identify relevant Shari’ah contracts and ensure compliance pre letter of offer and after disbursement.
    • Settle minor Shari’ah disputes/MIS issues that are instrument related between Islamic Banking stakeholders.
    • Provide feedback to Management on Islamic Banking market analysis with regards to products, credit risk evaluation and customer feedback among others.
