    Area Trade Developer, Across Kenya

    About the role:

    • The Area Trade Developer is responsible for driving phone sales and managing a network of commission-based agents within a defined territory. This role includes recruiting, training, and assisting agents, expanding market reach, and ensuring strong sales and repayment performance. Success requires strong field execution, deep local market insight, and the ability to translate strategy into tangible, on-the-ground results in a fast-paced, competitive device financing landscape. 

    What you would be expected to do:

    Agent Acquisition & Development

    • Recruit, Train and Certify phone selling from existing internal pool of solar selling agents and from external
    • Maintain the required active base of phone selling agents based on month-on-month goals 

    Sales & Productivity: 

    • Meet daily, weekly and monthly set unit phone sales goals
    • Maintain an average monthly agent sales productivity 
    • Drive sales activations through agents in markets through organized activities

    Portfolio Collection Performance:

    • Drive better phone repayments through thorough agent training on collections and field assistance to improve repayment performance
    • Help track First Payment Default (FPD) and AT Risk accounts and assist agents on resolution
    • Align with Agents and ACEs on accounts repossessions

    Agent Engagement & assistance: 

    • Attending Table meeting to keep drive phone sales awareness
    • Daily active agents visit with defined route plans
    • Ensure agents have sufficient phone inventory while enforcing inventory policy compliance
    • Ensure agents are properly branded by guidelines

    You might be a strong candidate if you:

    • Hold a degree or diploma in a business-related field or have a minimum of four (4) years working in a sales field in the FMCG, microfinance, banking or telecom industries. 
    • Passionate about positively impacting the lives in local markets 
    • A strong team player with great interpersonal skills to mentor your team to deliver on expectations.
    • Deep knowledge of local markets (urban and rural)
    • Basic digital literacy (CRM, stock tools)

    Phone Repair Technician

    About the role:

    • The role holder will be in charge of ensuring that customers’ devices are restored to full functionality quickly and reliably. The role involves diagnosing technical issues, performing component-level repairs, and carrying out preventive maintenance on smartphones. You will handle both hardware and software-related problems, from replacing broken screens and batteries to troubleshooting operating system errors and configuration issues.

    What you would be expected to do:

    • Perform functional test to triage damaged devices and diagnose failures
    • Disassemble, test, and replace defective components
    • Test and reclaim specific components and external housings
    • Reassemble complete device, following predetermined work instructions
    • Perform full functional, cosmetic, and RF testing
    • Identify potential areas for improvement of internal processes and procedures

    Quality Control Operator

    About the role:

    • The job holder will be in charge of incoming materials inspection, In Process inspection and outgoing finished goods inspection to ensure the quality in line with compliance standards.

    What you would be expected to do:

    • Inspect the incoming materials of part number, quantity and package condition.
    • Perform first article inspection before running mass production
    • Inspect and ensure the WIP (Work in Process) complies with acceptance standards.
    • Inspect the finished goods based on AQL level
    • Prepare IQC/IPQC/OQC report to supervisor on a regular basis.

    You might be a strong candidate if you:

    • Hold a diploma or equivalent qualification.
    • Possess at least one year’s experience of inspecting electronic products.
    • Are knowledgeable in ISQ9001 or relevant quality management systems is an added advantage.

    Quality Control Supervisor

    About the role:

    • The job holder will be in charge of developing, implementing, and maintaining quality standards across products, processes, or services to ensure they meet customer and regulatory requirements. Their primary roles and scope of work include designing quality assurance systems, conducting root cause evaluation, developing inspection protocols, and identifying areas for continuous improvement. 

    What you would be expected to do:

    • Design and implement quality control procedures for all stages of the smartphone manufacturing process. 
    • Conduct meticulous inspections and tests on raw materials, components, and finished smartphones to identify defects and ensure they meet specifications and standards. 
    • Evaluate test results and quality data using techniques like Statistical Process Control (SPC) to identify patterns, trends, and areas for improvement. 
    • Steer investigations into quality-related issues, establish their root causes, and develop effective corrective and preventive actions. 
    • Evaluate potential suppliers and ensure the quality of incoming materials and components meets required standards. 
    • Create and maintain detailed, accurate records of all quality control activities, inspections, tests, and procedures. 
    • Conduct internal and potentially external audits to verify adherence to quality standards and regulations. 
    • Work closely with other engineering teams, production, and management to resolve quality issues and improve overall product quality and process efficiency. 
    • Train production staff and quality control staff on quality control procedures, best practices, and new quality standards. 
    • Ensure that all processes and products comply with relevant industry standards, government regulations, and company policies. 
    • Drive a culture of continuous improvement within the manufacturing environment to enhance product quality and efficiency. 
    • Manage the calibration of all measuring instruments and equipment used for quality control purposes to ensure accuracy.

    You might be a strong candidate if you:

    • Hold a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial engineering, or related field. 
    • Possess 2–5 years of experience in quality assurance or manufacturing environment preferably  in electronic assembly or repair industries for smartphones, televisions, fridges or precision manufacturing. 
    • Have working knowledge of ISO, Six Sigma, Lean, and quality auditing techniques. 
    • Are proficient in data evaluation tools like Minitab, Excel, SPC software, etc.
    • Demonstrate excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills .
    • Have the ability to conduct In-depth root-cause evaluation with best practice RCA techniques.
    • Possess hands-on experience with supplier quality management or regulatory audits.

    Production Engineering Technician- TV Assembly

    About the role:

    • The role holder will be in charge of the manufacturing process and ensuring the layout is set properly and provides enough process training to operators. Additionally, they will be responsible for trouble-shooting and repair of the defective TV from production.

    What you would be expected to do:

    • Ensure the production layout and process are set properly.
    • Provide production process and know-hows to operators.
    • Trouble-shoot and repair the defective TV from production.
    • Ensure the operators use the machines, tools and fixtures properly.
