    Consultancy Manager

    UNES/CONS/CM/05/2021

    Contract Duration: Three Years with Three Months Probationary Period

    OVERVIEW

    UNES Ltd is seeking to fill in the position of Consultancy Manager with qualified and highly competent individual. The manager will be the driving force concerned with improving and growing the company business by supporting the Chief Manager Consultancy & Partnerships in the execution of consultancy projects, development/donor programs, contracted research and short professional trainings. Responsible for driving profitability through careful strategic planning & positioning in the appropriate markets and enhance the operational efficiency of the business. 

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    Reporting to the Chief Manager Consultancy & Partnerships, the incumbent shall be tasked with the following responsibilities:

    1. Identification and sourcing for new Consultancy Projects.
    2. Ensuring that EOI, RFP, RFQ and Concept papers are prepared and submitted on timely basis.
    3. Managing all contracted consultancies and training programmes to ensure efficiency and timeliness in the execution.
    4. Marketing of Consultancy Projects and Training Programs.
    5. Monitoring the progress of all contracted Consultancy Projects and training assignments.
    6. Implementing of Business and Marketing Plans.
    7. Monitoring compliance with Statutory and Contractual obligations as set out in MOUs and Contracts.
    8. Managing the performance of staff in the consultancy unit.
    9. Management of Client Relationships.
    10. Liaising with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
    11. Performing any other duties assigned by the Chief Manager, Consultancy & Partnerships.
       

    JOB SPECIFICATIONS

    1. Must possess a Bachelor`s Degree preferably in Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, Economics, Project Management or equivalent
    2. At least six (6) years hands on experience in consultancy assignments
    3. Experience in management of Donor Funded Projects, Grants Management and Acquisitions
    4. Proven track record of proposal writing/research
    5. Ability to develop budgets and work plans
    6. Familiarity with Government and Development partners proposal guidelines
    7. Extensive computer and analytical skills
    8. Possess good communication and interpersonal skills.
    9. Qualification in monitoring and evaluation is an added advantage 
    10. Experience performing a similar role and writing successful funding proposals to key institutional donors
    11. Excellent communication skills, including fluent spoken and written English and exceptional report writing and editing skills
    12. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and produce high quality work while meeting competing deadlines

    4. Sound knowledge of industry dynamics
    5. Strong inter-personal and communication skills
    6. Excellent Organizational Skills
    7. Deep Knowledge of Local and  International procurement Regulation
    8. Excellent computer skills
    9. Ability to interpret Financial Performance of the retail business
    10. Ability to monitor stock movement, Revenue, and debt collection
    11. Able to work under pressure in a dynamic environment
    12. Knowledge  of foreign exchange edging
    13. A Master’s degree in Business Administration, preferably Marketing is an added advantage

    Assistant Accountant

    Job Purpose:

    The job holder is responsible for financial reporting, optimal cash management, efficient asset utilization and assisting in administration of the same.

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    Reporting to the Senior Accountant, the incumbent shall be tasked with the following responsibilities:

    1. Posting of accounts receivable and payable, revenue and expenditure into the Financial System.
    2. Preparation of monthly and quarterly Management Accounts.
    3. Enforcement of debt collection and implementation of UNES Credit Policy
    4. Processing of supplier payments
    5. Management of office petty cash
    6. Review of financial transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness
    7. Ensuring financial records comply with company policies, professional standards and government and regulatory guidelines
    8. Preparation of monthly debtors and creditors reports
    9. Preparation of audit schedules and support to internal and external auditors
