    Quality Reviewer

    KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

    • Quality of reports adheres to the standard template
    • Reviewed and verified report is submitted within 7 days of receipt of the report
    • Report Consistency to ensure all Nonconformities are reported
    • Confidentiality of reports to safeguard clients’ reputation

    JOB SPECIFICATION:

    • Ensure that the final audit report is uploaded in the Rainforest Alliance Certification Platform within 7 days
    • Correct interpretation of the standard requirements for the applicable scope.
    • Assignment of nonconformities against the correct standard requirements
    • Evaluate the quality of the report against the standard template
    • Document recommended changes and any comments, observations and suggestions for improvement and send them to the Lead Auditor
    • Ensuring that the reports do not include the names of the persons interviewed
    • Verification that the evidence for all applicable requirements (Nonconformity/ conformity) is described in a manner that is clear, concise, verifiable and expresses the nature, magnitude and correct technical basis of the NCRs in relation to the standard
    • Verification that the conclusions of reports are consistent with the NCRs reported
    • Verification that the audit team verified the information and data about the CH indicated in the report e. g. geodata, workers’ data and other relevant audit differences
    • Verification that samples were correctly determined and implemented
      Verification that the correct number and distribution of interviews were conducted
    • Correct spelling and grammar without excessive use of jargon and colloquialisms
    • Conformity with submission deadlines as per standard guidelines.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    • A minimum of a Bachelors’ degree in any of the following listed disciplines from a recognized institution: Agronomy, Horticulture, Environmental Science, Food Science Technology, Agribusiness, Natural Resources or any other related academic qualification related to the listed disciplines.
    • Fluent in written/Oral English or any other language suitable for reporting to Rainforest Alliance
    • Knowledge of relevant information systems and tools necessary to carry out quality monitoring activities on the certification process. Such as, but not limited to MS Word, RALN, RACP, and the RA CB Management Platform
    • In-depth knowledge of applicable national and local laws and regulations as well as how to interpret their application during the audit
    • 18 months working as a quality reviewer for voluntary sustainability standards OR has conducted 5 quality reviews of Voluntary Sustainability standards in the last 4 years
    • Successful completion of a certified ISO 9001 LA course OR certified ISO 22000 LA OR certified ISO 14001 course provided by an ISO accredited agency such as (but not limited to) IRCA, RABQSA, RAC, SAATCA, CRBA, ICA approved
    • At least 3 years of experience working as a Certifier or LA in social schemes such as but not limited to Fairtrade, GRASP, SA8000, SMETA
    • Experience in auditing social standards (at least 6 relevant certification audits as an LA in the last 4 years such as but not limited to Fairtrade, GRASP, SA8000, SMETA

    Lead Internal Auditor

    KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

    • Preparation of audit plans 14 days prior to the planned assessment
    • Communication of internal audit plans 7 days before to the relevant personnel involved in the audits
    • Organization of the internal audit team 30 days prior in readiness for the assessment
    • Preparation and submission of internal audit reports to the Quality Management Representative 7 days after the assessment
    • Review of corrective actions in 7 days for any non-conformances raised during the internal audit process to determine adequacy

    JOB SPECIFICATION:

    • Work with the Quality Management Representative to prepare internal audit plans and conduct internal audits in accordance with the prepared plan on form AC 05X internal audit plan
    • Sharing the audit plan with the Quality Management Representative, HODS and other relevant personnel to prepare before the actual audit time
    • Organize the internal audit team to access and audit the scope areas.
    • Ensure that the internal audit team is independent of the areas they have audited or worked on
    • Ensure that the relevant auditees within the departments are available for the audit process
    • Ensure that the audit process is followed and is guided by ISO 17065 and covers at least an adequate number of case file reviews for the involved accredited standards i.e Global Gap and EU Equivalent Organic Standard
    • Compile audit results and generate a report within 10 working days after completion of the internal audit process
    • Communicate audit results to process/ area managers through the internal audit report ( AC 15c), Internal audit non-conformance report ( AC 15a) and a filled in internal audit checklist ( AC 12X)
    • Ensure that other schemes including verification schemes are also internally audited annually using the customized checklist for each standard
    • Ensure that all AfriCert Administrative sites are audited as per the necessary requirements and timings
    • Schedule annual relevant audits for subcontracted inspection bodies

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    • A minimum of a Bachelors’ degree in any of the following listed disciplines from a recognized institution: Agronomy, Horticulture, Environmental Science, Food Science Technology, or any other related academic qualification related to the listed disciplines.
    • Fluent in written/Oral English or any other language suitable for reporting.
    • Have practical knowledge of ISO 19011; the guideline for conducting internal audits
    • Possess practical knowledge in certification, auditing and requirements of ISO 17065 (The International standard that governs an organization’s Quality Systems, SOPS and operations)
    • Be an approved auditor in a minimum of one scheme
    • Experience in conducting other system audits
    • Have general knowledge of accredited standards such as Global Gap for ISO 17065.
