    Nurse – OT (1 Position)

    Key Responsibilities

    • Complete head-to-toe assessment and re-assessment of patients to identify their care needs
    • Responsible for total patient care, including medication, orders, and treatments
    • Evaluation and recording of patients’ conditions
    • Perform pain assessment and initiate analgesia as per protocol
    • Monitor vital signs and report to the physician
    • Provide bedside nursing care
    • Administer medication and treatments as prescribed by the physician
    • Prepare the patient for various medical procedures such as X-ray, ECG, Ultrasound, MRI, etc
    • Follow discharge procedure of assigned patients according to hospital protocol, and ensure follow-up appointments are made
    • Attend to patient emergencies as and when they arise
    • Ensure patient records are accurately captured and filed in accordance with hospital policies and procedures

    • Ensure proper inventory management, such as replenishing and consuming stocks as per procurement procedures
    • Update professional knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
    • Serve and protect the institution by adhering to professional guidelines, policies, and procedures, as well as local and international standards.
    • Perform any other duties within the professional scope of employment as may be assigned from time to time by the supervisor or appointed authority

    Nurse – ICU (1 Position)

    Key Responsibilities

    • Cleaning and bandaging patient wounds
    • Track life support equipment like heart monitors
    • Infuse blood products and monitor patients for a reaction
    • Identify patient’s needs according to age and level of consciousness and they create a care plan to make their health better
    • Administer care to seriously ill patients
    • Administer medications intravenously, by injection, orally, through gastric tubes, or by other methods
    • Provide advanced nursing care and provide post-mortem care for patients in critical or coronary care units
    • Advocate for patients’ and families needs, or provide emotional support for patients and their families
    • Set up and monitor medical equipment and devices such as cardiac monitors, mechanical ventilators and alarms, oxygen delivery devices, transducers, and pressure lines
    • Monitor patients’ fluid intake and output to detect emerging problems such as fluid and electrolyte imbalances
    • Monitor patients for changes in status and indications of conditions such as sepsis or shock and appropriate institute interventions
    • Identify patients who are at risk and prioritize nursing care for assigned critically ill patients based on assessment data and identified needs
    • Assist physicians with bronchoscopy, endoscopy, endotracheal intubation, and elective cardioversion.

    Nurse – Infection Prevention (1 Position)

    Key Responsibilities

    • Promote the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
    • Will be required to establish standard methods of care, utilizing evidence-based practice and best practice standards.
    • Will be required to establish and implement infection control and employee health orientation programs, alongside the departmental heads, throughout the facility.
    • Responsible for policies and procedures within the organization related to infection control and employee health.
    • Participates as an integral team member, collaborating with various departments and colleagues, including Safety Officer, Human Resources, Quality Officer, and others as needed to advocate for employee health and safety and ensure adherence to infection control standards
    • Coordinates the development and implementation of all employee health initiatives and programs (staff Immunization).
    • Will be responsible for staff vaccination processes, management of potential blood exposures, needle stick injuries, and disease outbreaks.
    • Responsible for coordinating the infection control program which includes surveillance; analysis of data; development reports, policies, and procedures.
    • Use epidemiological principles and statistical methods to design, implement and evaluate infection prevention and control strategies.
    • Provides consultation and education to staff, physicians, and community leaders with respect to Infection Prevention & Control.
    • Coordinate with the Infection Prevention and Control Committee to determine the direction of surveillance activities and actively evaluate the effectiveness of the Infection Prevention and Control Plan annually.
    • Conduct risk assessments at least annually and as needed with consideration of served populations, regional vulnerabilities, relevant statistical data, and new and emerging infectious diseases.
    • Notify any reportable diseases, adhering to all internal county and state procedures.

    Pharmtech (1 Position)

    Key Responsibilities

    • Dispensing of prescriptions, Patient counseling, and counter-prescribing to optimize Pharmacy Sales.
    • Making Extemporaneous Preparations, and technical supervision of Pharmacy Assistant/s as required.
    • Stock control and Inventory Management including monitoring of expiries
    • Shortlisting items sold for ordering, conducting stock counts as and when required by the management, and receiving deliveries from suppliers.
    • Maintaining cleanliness of the Pharmacy and all storage areas and conforming to good storage practices.
    • Providing inventory, Sales, and Cash collection reports to the management as needed.

    • Sale of Vaccines, Insulin, and other cold chain products and ensuring optimal cold chain maintenance until the use by the end consumer. Also provision technical advice on cold chain management to clients.
    • Participating in Health Promotion and Marketing initiatives organized by the Pharmacy.

    Qualifications

    • A Diploma in Pharmacy/Pharmaceutical Technology from a recognized Institution
    • Enrollment Certificate from Kenya’s Pharmacy & Poisons Board
    • A minimum of five (5+) years of clinical pharmacy experience in a busy hospital.

    Pharmacist (1 Position)

     Key Responsibilities

    • Ensure compliance with professional and legal practice and standard operating procedures
    • Fill prescriptions for inpatients and outpatients
    • Attend ward rounds and participate in multidisciplinary patient care.
    • Conduct drug utilization reviews
    • To serve as an active member and to give professional advice to Antibiotic Stewardship, Medicines and Therapeutic, Infection Control, and other Advisory Committees

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy from a recognized institution
    • Valid membership and holding a practicing license with the Pharmacy and Poisons Board of Kenya.
    • Possesses a valid practicing license from the Pharmacy and Poisons Board of Kenya, which must be available for use by the hospital if needed.
    • A minimum of ten (10+) years of clinical pharmacy experience in a busy hospital.

    Optometrist (1 Position)

    Key Responsibilities

    • Analyze and oversee patient care
