    Senior Software Engineer

    We are seeking experienced and passionate software engineers to help grow a team focused on the Microsoft Graph integration of Azure Active Directory, delivering innovative solutions to support Microsoft Identity Platform's growing app ecosystem. The team is energetic, passionate, and works together like a family to create and ship these new capabilities and cutting-edge technologies.

    Responsibilities

    • Design and develop large scale distributed software services and solutions
    • Adhere to and drive modern software engineering practices through design reviews
    • System design through well-defined interfaces across multiple components, code reviews, leveraging data/telemetry to make decisions
    • Develop “best-in-class” engineering for our services by ensuring that the services and the components are: well-defined and modularized, secure, reliable, diagnosable, actively monitored and reusable.
    • Improve test coverage for services, organize and implement integration tests, and resolve problem areas
    • Considers testability, portability/monitoring, reliability, and maintainability, and understands when code is ready to be shared and delivered
    • Exposes test coverage issues, organizes and implements integration tests, and resolves problem areas
    • Gain a working understanding of Microsoft businesses and collaborate with mentors and leaders in order to contribute to cohesive, end-to-end experiences for our users
    • Focus on customer/partner needs through a data driven approach
    • Troubleshoot and optimize automation, reliability and monitoring for LiveSite 

    Qualifications

    • 7+ years of software development and design experience
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Math, Engineering or related field, or completion of a Code/Developer academy program
    • Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages including but not limited to: Java, C/C++, C#, Python, JavaScript
    • Experience in open-source software development

    Software Engineering Manager

    The Azure Identity team is searching for a software engineering leader who can define, build and evolve the new platform on which Azure Active Directory (AAD) services are built. The Identity organization is responsible for driving the innovation in both cloud and on-premises software development providing identity management, authentication and authorization. The hybrid group, within the Identity organization, focuses on core scenarios like provisioning, health and hybrid scenarios. 

    Responsibilities

    This is a broad cross-team role with high visibility. You will collaborate closely with multiple teams across Microsoft to deliver key customer solutions and the technology to support them.  

    • Lead design and implementation of the future architecture for highly scalable, durable, low latency identity management systems.  
    • Build an effective and agile development organization using industry leading best practices.  
    • Lead the definition of requirements, KPIs, priorities and planning of engineering deliverables.  
    • Mentor and grow team members.

    Qualifications

    • 10+ years of professional software development experience    
    • One or more of the following skills will be highly regarded:

    • Drive changes across multiple teams in the Identity Organization  
    • Great communication skills to collaborate cross-group and work effectively within the team  
    • Expertise in any modern continuous delivery/deployment systems
