    Quality Assurance and Control Manager

    • Our client in manufacturing seeks qualified candidates for the position of Quality Assurance and Control Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for Products manufacturing and quality testing standards setting, Quality grading and decisions and  Reduction and control measures of undergrade and waste among other duties. 

    Quality Management System Oversight

    • Oversee Quality Management System (QMS).
    • Ensure compliance with KEBS, industry standards and other regulatory requirements.
    • Conduct regular internal audits to verify adherence to QMS procedures.
    • Facilitate external audits by regulatory bodies or customers.
    • Process Improvement and Optimization
    • Identify areas for process improvement within the production cycle.
    • Develop and implement corrective and preventive action plans.
    • Monitor and analyze production data to identify trends and areas for enhancement.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process optimizations.
    • Product Inspection and Testing
    • Implement inspection and testing protocols for raw materials, in-process, and finished goods.
    • Conduct regular product inspections to ensure adherence to quality standards.
    • Investigate and address non-conformities, and implement corrective actions

    Requirements

    • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
    • Proficiency in Six Sigma, TQM principles, and other quality methodologies.
    • Demonstrated experience in leading and motivating quality control teams for continuous improvement.
    • Ability to interpret data to drive process improvement and ensure compliance.

    Engineering and Maintenance Manager

    • Our client in the manufacturing industry seeks highly technical candidates for the position of Engineering and Maintenance Manager. The position will report to the Head of Production and will be responsible for oversight of the workshop inventory, designing out maintenance and modification of machinery among other duties.

    Roles and Responsibilities 

    • Technical Oversight and Guidance
    • Provide technical expertise and guidance in electrical systems, fabrication, fuel management, and workshop operations.
    • Oversee the planning and execution of maintenance and repair activities for engineering machinery and equipment (generators, boilers, compressors, etc).
    • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards in all engineering functions.
    • Collaborate with the production team to ensure seamless integration of engineering processes with manufacturing operations.
    • Team Management and Development
    • Supervise and support assistant managers in their respective areas of responsibility (electrical, fabrication, workshop).
    • Conduct performance evaluations, set performance goals, and provide coaching and mentoring.
    • Identify training and development needs for engineering staff and implement relevant programs.
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the engineering team.
    • Ensure factory has sufficient resources for operations e.g. water supply, fuel and electricity.
    • Resource and Budget Management
    • Manage resources, including personnel, equipment, materials, to ensure efficient and effective engineering operations.
    • Develop and manage budgets for the engineering department, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
    • Monitor and control expenses related to engineering equipment maintenance, repairs, and capital projects

    Requirements

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • A bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
    • Certification in Energy, Engineering Management, Maintenance Management, or Lean Six Sigma would be beneficial.
    • Industry Experience: 10+ years of experience in engineering and maintenance, preferably in the textile, manufacturing, or industrial sectors and at least 3–5 years in a leadership role overseeing engineering teams.
    • Familiarity with preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
    • Knowledge of ISO 9001 & 14001 standards for quality and environmental compliance.
    • Experience with fleet management and fuel efficiency strategies.
    • Demonstrated experience in leading and motivating quality control teams for continuous improvement.
    • Ability to interpret data to drive process improvement and ensure compliance.
    • Result-Oriented with Relentless Commitment to Customer Success: Demonstrates a focus on achieving outcomes and a dedicated commitment to driving customer satisfaction and success.
    • Strong stakeholder management skills to coordinate with vendors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
