    Communications Manager, Operations

    What you will do

    Establish and Sustain the Communications Governance Framework

    • Maintain and continuously improve governance frameworks that ensure compliance, alignment, and consistency across global and market communication teams.
    • Monitor adherence to standards, brand consistency, communication protocols, and operational requirements.
    • Ensure governance approaches remain relevant, user-friendly, and effectively adopted across the organization.

    Policies & Guidelines

    • Develop, update, and communicate clear policies and guidelines for all major communications disciplines.
    • Ensure global standards are translated into practical market ready guidance.
    • Partner with global communications leaders and SMEs to maintain up to date, high quality documentation.

    Process Design & Optimization

    • Design, document, and refine core communications processes that drive efficiency, transparency, and quality.
    • Identify bottlenecks and lead continuous improvement initiatives across workflows such as content creation, approvals, measurement, and planning cycles.
    • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure operational alignment across systems and tools.

    Ways of Working (WoW)

    • Promote integrated, collaborative ways of working across global, regional, and market communications teams and cross functions.
    • Drive adoption of shared tools, platforms, and collaboration practices.
    • Facilitate engagement, consistency, and alignment through structured WoW frameworks, playbooks, and routines.

    Upskilling & Capability Building

    • Identify communications skill gaps across global teams and markets.
    • Design and implement capability building initiatives, including training programs, toolkits, onboarding materials, and learning pathways.
    • Partner with global SMEs, HR/L&D, and external experts to scale learning across the organization.
    • Lead Communications AI Capabilities & AI Office for Comms
    • Serve as the lead for the AI Office for Communications, overseeing AI governance and capability building.
    • Enable the integration of AI-driven tools, ensuring responsible, compliant, and effective adoption across communication teams and markets.
    • Support teams with training, best practices, and ongoing AI readiness.

    We believe you have

    Professional Experience

    • 8–10 years of experience in Communications Operations, PMO, Governance, Corporate Excellence, or a similar strategic operations role.
    • Experience in a large, matrixed global organization.
    • Demonstrated success establishing governance frameworks and enabling operational excellence.
    • Strong background in process design, operational efficiency, or capability-building programs.
    • Experience leading technology or tool adoption programs (AI experience is a strong plus).

    Communications Manager, Corporate

    What you will do

    CEO & Executive Leadership Communications

    Build, lead, and execute a comprehensive executive positioning strategy for the CEO and select ELT members, including:

    • Developing long term positioning themes, narratives, and thought leadership pillars.
    • Managing an executive editorial calendar with weekly and monthly planning routines.
    • Driving CEO and select ELT visibility via:
    • Thought leadership content
    • LinkedIn profiling and engagement strategy
    • Table Talk video series
    • Speaking engagements and high profile appearances
    • Providing counsel and hands on support for EVP level positioning needs.

    Tetra Laval 

    • Lead all key Tetra Laval communications and reputation stewardship activities, including: Tetra Laval PR, issues, and crisis management activities.
    • Drive brand, corporate, and operational communication activities, including annual Tetra Laval Report (content coordination, standards, timelines) and donations program 

    ​​​​​​​Speakers’ Bureau – Global Thought Leadership Enablement and Excellence

    • Establish, lead, and evolve a global Speakers’ Bureau as a core driver of future thought leadership, including:
    • Designing and managing a global speaking opportunity framework aligned with the PR strategy.
    • Maintaining and enforcing the Speakers’ Bureau procedure, governance, and audit routines.
    • Overseeing spokesperson readiness and workflows 

    ​​​​​​​Establish and sustain communications governance mechanisms across the Executive Leadership Team, including:

    • Building and chairing an ELT Editorial Board
    • Creating visibility on upcoming CEO/ELT/VP communications to ensure alignment, consistency, and strategic prioritization.
    • Ensuring disciplined planning, coordination, and transparency across leadership communications.

    • Proven experience advising and supporting CEOs, senior executives, or high profile leaders.
    • Strong background in issues/crisis communications and enterprise-level reputation management.
    • Experience working across global, matrixed organizations with complex stakeholder networks.
    • Experience overseeing high-stakes governance and enterprise-wide communications frameworks.

    • Polished executive presence with strong influencing and advisory skills.
    • Expertise in strategic planning, editorial management, and thought leadership development.

    Education

    Communications Manager, Integration

    What you will do

    Market Enablement

    • Serve as a communications manager supporting markets during peak workload periods.

    Provide hands-on support across all communication disciplines, including:

    • Editorial and content creation
    • Internal communications
    • PR and media relations
    • Brand and campaign adaptation
    • Tradeshows and events
    • Program deployment and local implementation
    • Address other specific market needs and priority projects as they arise.

    Bridge Between Central Sustainability Communications team & Markets

    • Coordinate Sustainability Communications initiatives between the central team and markets.

    Manage activities such as:

    • Localization and rollout of the Sustainability Report
    • Deployment and governance of the collection & recycling toolkit
    • Coordination of sustainability claims and related materials
    • Ensure alignment, timely delivery, consistent messaging and successful implementation in the markets.

    Bridge Between Central Corporate Communications & Operations (CCO) Team & Markets

    • Coordinate Corporate Communications initiatives between the CCO team and markets to ensure seamless execution and alignment.
    • Act as the central point-of-contact for markets when rolling out global Corporate Communications programs.

    Support Corporate Communications Project Needs

    • Provide additional capacity to the CCO team during peak workload periods.
    • Contribute to a wide range of communications projects, ensuring quality, speed, and alignment with global standards.

    Manage Coordination & Reporting of Market Support via Shared Services and Flex Resources 

    • Operate the intake process (Service Hub) for all market requests related to consultants or overflow work.
    • Scope, prioritize, resource, and schedule requests, maintaining transparency and clear SLAs.
    • Communicate timelines, updates, and project status regularly to stakeholders.
    • Produce quarterly & annual service performance reports
    • Present insights and improvement recommendations to leadership.
    • Coordinate with external vendors and consultants managing: Briefings, SLAs and quality assurance, Budget adherence
    • Design and administer the annual market satisfaction and needs survey. Analyze results, identify themes, and develop clear improvement plans with designated owners.
