    GLF Multimedia Consultant

    Duties and responsibilities

    The GLF Multimedia Consultant helps identify strategic multimedia content opportunities and trends. Consultant drafts inspiring and engaging multimedia content for key GLF audiences on multiple channels and formats, such as social media and community channels (WhatsApp, Instagram, TikTok, Youtube); websites and presentations, following the overall communications strategy and priorities.

    • Supporting the communication strategy work to reach key GLF audiences and grow channel visibility
    • Identifying opportunities for various multimedia content such as short videos, reels, infographics, animations, presentations and more
    • Producing and/or identifying visual material to be used in campaigns, following the overall branding (photos, footage, graphic elements)
    • Identifying new tools and (visual) digital trends
    • Designing visual and audiovisual content for GLF campaign purposes
    • Working in the GLF Digital Communications and Landscape News team
    • Working closely with the GLF Knowledge team, Youth and GLFx teams
    • Supporting work with the GLF’s key partners
    • Assisting with other related tasks as necessary.

    Education, knowledge and experience

    • bachelor's degree, either student or accomplished, in graphic design, communications, journalism, international relations, advertising, media, or related discipline
    • a minimum of one year of experience in content production
    • experience in social media tools, community management tools, digital best practices, various target audiences and different digital platforms
    • strong knowledge of software design programs such as Adobe Creative Suite and Canva
    • supports the maintenance, scheduling, creation and distribution of multimedia content on the CMS (Wordpress) and social media channels
    • notion of website design and digital marketing (SEO, SEM, and paid media)
    • strong knowledge in visual content design, scriptwriting and creating audiovisual content
    • fluent in English (fluency in Spanish, French or Portuguese considered an advantage)
    • knowledge of trends and inspired by new opportunities, tools and formats both globally and in the Global South

    Personal attributes and competencies

    • ability and motivation to work with a high performing global team
    • familiarity with the fields of sustainability, environment, restoration and/or climate

    Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Officer (ME&L)

    Overview

    The Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL Officer will play a central role in ensuring that AWARD reports accurate and timely data on its achievements to management, donors, and partners. The job holder will support AWARD staff and partners to embed good practice in program/project level monitoring and the reporting of results achieved in support of AWARD's strategic vision and mission. In addition, the MEL Officer will build the capacity of AWARD staff and partners in monitoring evaluation and learning. He/she will support project implementation teams in preparing regular progress reports and quality assure these outputs.

    Duties and responsibilities

    • Lead monitoring of project/program activities and provide regular progress reviews for program improvement and learning.
    • Design data collection tools, lead data collection, analysis, and reporting.
    • Support in the design of the MEL strategy, frameworks, and tools to improve program performance.
    • Conduct routine data quality assessments — in close collaboration with 1he data management team.
    • Undertake routine and ad hoc data analysis and interpretation and reporting.
    • Participate in development of project proposals to ensure all have a clear and logical strategy towards impact and are consistent with AWARD's theory of change.
    • Contribute to project/ program evaluations and research activities including baseline studies, mid-term reviews. evaluations and impact assessments.
    • Prepare information dissemination products such as briefs, reports and manuscripts/working papers for peer-review and publication as well as presentation in conferences, workshops, and symposia
    • Support the Monitoring. Evaluation and Learning Manager to develop and implement MEL capacity development activities (e.g., training, coaching. information sessions) with AWARD staff and partner organizations.
    • Support the development of terms of reference for external consultancy assignments.
    • Support the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Manager with the management of external consultants to ensure that deliverables are of the highest qualify.
    • Identify and mitigate potential risks within your work area.
    • Take reasonable care of own occupational health and safety and that of others as obliged by CIFOR-ICRAF’s Occupational Health and Safety Policy and cooperate with CIFOR-ICRAF in complying with requirements under any statutory health and safety provisions of relevant Country laws.

    Education, knowledge and experience

    • A Master’s degree in Agricultural Economics, Development Studies. Social Sciences, Natural Sciences, Rural Development, or other relevant disciplines. Additional training in monitoring and evaluation. will be an added advantage.
    • At least six (6) years of experience in the design and implementation of ME&L of development interventions with consideration of gender, social inclusion, socio- policy and related issues in the context agriculture, food security and Nutrition, NRM or rural development.
    • Demonstrated ability to collect. conceptualize, analyze, synthesize, and translate data into useful information and knowledge products. interventions and policies generating positive social impact.
    • Working knowledge of donor reporting systems and requirements.
    • Solid experience in tools and methods for data collection, analysis, and production of various information products.
    • Fluency in both oral and written English — Knowledge of French is desirable.
    • Strong background in qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
    • Experience in data analysis and management, and use of statistical software package such as STATA, SPSS, R. NVivo, etc.
