    JOB GROUP “N” (1POST)

    KCPSB/2021/46 

    Job Description and Job Specification

    Duties and Responsibilities

    1. Ensuring Compliance with fire safety standards.
    2. Preparing estimates related to fire installations.
    3. Coordinating of inspections of buildings to assess fire hazards and risks.
    4. Supervision of installation and maintenance of fire equipment in public buildings, hospitals, conference centres and institutions.
    5. Coordinating fire investigations and compiling reports.
    6. Training of technical staff.

    Requirements for appointment:

    1. Served in the grade of Chief Inspector (Fire Services) job group ‘M’ or a comparable grade and relevant position in the Public service for at least three (3) years
    2. Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering or Chemical Engineering or other relevant qualification from a recognized Fire Services Training School/Institution.
    3. First Aid Certificate course lasting not less than one (1) week from St. John’s Ambulance or Kenya Institute of Highways and Building Technology (KIHBT) or any other recognized institution.
    4. iShown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
    5. Must have a Driving license.
    6. Satisfy the requirements of chapter six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010

    Registered Nurse

    Duties and responsibilities

    • Assessing, planning, implementing nursing interventions and evaluating patient’s outcomes; 
    • Providing appropriate healthcare service including Intergraded Management of Childhood illnesses(IMCI), immunization, PMTCT, ante-natal care and delivery, delivery, providing health education and counseling to patients/ clients and community on identified health needs;

    Clinical Officers

    Job Description and Job Specification

    This is the entry grade into the Clinical Officers Cadre. An Officer at this level shall work under the guidance of a senior officer.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    1. Taking history, examining ,diagnosis and treating patients’ common ailments at an outpatient or inpatient health facility;
    2. Guiding and Counseling patients, clients and staff on health issues;
    3. Referring patients and clients to appropriate health facilities;
    4. Assessing, preparing and presenting medico-legal reports;
    5. Coaching and mentoring students on attachment;
    6. Carrying out surgical procedures as per training and skill;
    7. Organizing health management teams and convening health management committee meetings;
    8. Collecting and compiling data for research on clinical services issues.

    Requirements for appointment

    1. Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Medicine from a recognized institution.
    2. Certificate of Registration from the Clinical Officer’s Council
    3. Certificate in computer applications skills from a recognized institution.
