    Procurement Manager

    The Role

    As the Procurement Manager for Ilara Health's Medicines supply business, you will be responsible for optimizing pricing strategies, procurement processes, and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers. Your primary focus will be on ensuring cost-effectiveness, efficiency, and timely delivery of medicines and healthcare supplies. You will collaborate with various internal teams and external partners to enhance pricing strategies and supplier relationships, ultimately contributing to operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

    Responsibilities

    Pricing Strategy and Supplier Management:

    • Develop and implement pricing strategies that balance cost-effectiveness with customer requirements.
    • Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of medicines and supplies.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align pricing and procurement goals with overall business objectives.
    • Regularly analyze pricing and procurement data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement appropriate strategies.
    • Negotiate prices, onboard new suppliers to meet margin targets

    Order Processing and Procurement:

    • Develop and implement efficient order processing workflows to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate order processing and procurement.
    • Monitor procurement metrics, such as order cycle time and cost-effectiveness, and take corrective actions when necessary.

    Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

    • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and evaluate pricing and procurement operations.
    • Generate regular reports on pricing and procurement performance, highlighting areas of success and improvement opportunities.
    • Conduct root cause analysis to identify the reasons behind pricing and procurement issues and implement corrective actions.

    Market Intelligence and Pricing

    • Ensure up to date market pricing data for competitive products
    • Adjust pricing to make sure products remain competitive in the market
    • Conceive and implement discounting strategies across all channels
    • Own and achieve margin targets

    Requirements

    • Proven experience in pricing, procurement, or supplier management, preferably within the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry.
    • Strong understanding of pricing strategies, procurement processes, and supplier relationship management.
    • Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to medicines and healthcare products.
    • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
    • Proficiency in using pricing and procurement software and tools.

    Warehousing & Logistics Manager

    The Role

    As the Warehousing and Logistics Manager for Ilara Health's Medicines supply business, you will be responsible for the efficient and timely delivery of medicines and healthcare supplies to our network of primary healthcare clinics across Africa. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the end-to-end warehousing and logistics operations, ensuring operational excellence and customer satisfaction. You will collaborate closely with various internal teams to optimize supply chain operations, maintain inventory accuracy, and deliver a seamless experience for our customers.

    Responsibilities

    Logistics and Supply Chain Management:

    • Oversee the end-to-end logistics and supply chain operations, including warehousing, inventory management, and distribution.
    • Optimize transportation routes and modes to minimize costs and delivery lead times.
    • Implement robust inventory management practices to maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing the risk of stockouts or overstocking.

    Last-Mile Delivery Management:

    • Establish and manage a network of last-mile delivery partners across Africa, ensuring reliable and cost-effective delivery services.
    • Monitor and optimize last-mile delivery operations, including route planning, driver management, and tracking.
    • Collaborate with technology teams to implement delivery tracking systems and provide real-time visibility to customers and internal stakeholders.
    • Continuously improve last-mile delivery processes to enhance delivery speed, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.

    Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

    • Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to medicines and healthcare products.
    • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate actionable insights.
    • Proficiency in using supply chain management and logistics software and tools.
