Responsibilities:

• Monitoring trending breaking news topics and political stories.
• Writing and publishing high-quality news and political content that resonates with our audience.
• Developing exclusive stories through in-depth research and interviews.
• Sourcing expert comments and securing interviews with key figures.
• Demonstrating excellent interviewing and fact-checking skills.
• Crafting well-researched, engaging articles with perfect English grammar and storytelling.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in journalism, especially in current affairs and political reporting.
• Flawless writing skills, including narrative flow, structure, and grammar.
• Strong editorial judgment and the ability to stay ahead of trending news.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with an eye for detail.
• Strategic and analytical thinking abilities, particularly in identifying news angles.
• Self-motivation, with a hunger to learn and adapt in a fast-paced news environment.
• Ability to work remotely (reliable internet connection, laptop with minimum Intel Core i3).
• Proficiency in using social media platforms for news sourcing and audience engagement.

• Sourcing ideas for exclusive stories
• Sourcing comments from experts, entrepreneurs
• Writing and publishing business stories that resonate with our audience (including news articles, market overviews, interviews, analysis and feature articles about business)
• Posting your articles to Facebook and X
• Participating in all activities related to business content direction (including newsletters, videos, promo and distribution of content).

Requirements:

• Degree or Diploma in journalism/media studies or related field
• Considerable experience in journalism and writing business content
• Passion for writing business stories
• Strong knowledge of the business world, including economics, and industry trends.
• Strong Knowledge of legal and ethical issues related to business journalism, including libel, conflict of interest, and privacy laws.
• Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to collect, interpret and present complex data in a simple and meaningful way.
• Impeccable communication and interviewing skills, both written and verbal
• Strong contacts in the business world
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
