    Experienced Executive Assistant

    Our client, a public finance management advisory services firm in Nairobi, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Executive Assistant to join their team. In this role, you will play a crucial role in managing the schedules and operations of the managing director and team members. The ideal candidate should thrive in a challenging and evolving environment, where your depth and breadth of experience will be put to the test. As the firm continues to develop and refine its organizational structures, they need a self-starter who can adapt and excel in a fast-paced setting.

    Responsibilities:

    • Efficiently manage and coordinate the managing director's schedules, appointments, and meetings.
    • Act as a gatekeeper, screening and prioritizing communications and requests.
    • Prepare and distribute meeting minutes and other relevant documentation as directed for internal and external use.
    • Coordinate travel arrangements and itineraries for managing director and other team members.
    • Assist in organizing company events and meetings.
    • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
    • Where necessary, proactively identify and address operational inefficiencies, suggesting improvements.
    • Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth communication and execution of tasks.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or any related field.
    • Proven experience as an Executive Assistant or in a similar role.
    • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
    • Proficiency in office software and tools, including Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Ability to handle high-pressure situations and solve problems independently.
    • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and requirements.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships.
    • Previous experience in a startup or evolving work environment is a plus.

    Associate Consultant Economist

    Our client is seeking an Associate Consultant Economist, who will play a pivotal role in providing economic analysis, research, and support consulting projects. 

    Your primary responsibilities will involve working on bids and business proposals, contributing to the development of economic models, conducting research, analysing data, and assisting with project deliverables. You will collaborate with a team of consultants, economists, and other professionals to deliver high-quality economic insights to clients.

    Responsibilities:

    • Bid and Business Proposal Support:
      • Contribute to the preparation of bids and business proposals by conducting research, analysing economic data, and providing economic insights.
      • Collaborate with the consulting team to develop compelling economic rationales and value propositions in response to client needs.
      • Assist in drafting sections of bid documents related to economic analysis, methodology, and project approach.
    • Economic Analysis and Research:
      • Conduct economic research and analysis using various methodologies, models, and tools to understand market trends, industry dynamics, or specific economic issues.
    • Data Collection and Measurement:
      • Identify and gather relevant economic data from reputable sources, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
      • Develop data collection strategies and methodologies, including surveys, interviews, or secondary research techniques.
    • Project Support:
      • Assist in the development of project plans, milestones, and deliverables to ensure timely completion of assignments.
      • Collaborate with the consulting team to support project-specific tasks, such as cost-benefit analysis, impact assessments, or policy evaluations.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Applied Economics, or a related field. A Ph.D. is advantageous but not required.
    • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with knowledge of econometric modelling, statistical analysis, and data interpretation techniques.
    • Proficiency in economic modelling software (e.g., EViews, Stata, MATLAB, or similar tools) is highly desirable.
    • Familiarity with Cost-Benefit Analysis (CBA) techniques, economic impact assessments, or regional economic modelling is a plus.
    • Ability to write clear, concise, and persuasive reports, proposals, or presentations.
    • Previous experience working as a consultant for well known professional services firms.
