    Senior Mechanic- Automotive

    Purpose of the Role

    The Senior Automotive Mechanic is responsible for leading and executing advanced maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of TTS trucks and plant equipment to ensure optimal performance, safety, and minimal downtime. The role provides technical leadership within the workshop and supports preventive maintenance planning across the fleet and recycling plant machinery.

    Key Responsibilities

    Vehicle & Plant Equipment Maintenance

    • Carry out advanced diagnostics, repair, and servicing of company trucks, loaders, balers, conveyors, shredders, compactors, and other plant equipment.
    • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance in line with manufacturer specifications and company schedules.
    • Identify recurring mechanical faults and recommend long-term solutions.
    • Ensure all vehicles and machines are roadworthy, safe, and compliant with regulatory standards.

    Technical Leadership & Supervision

    • Provide hands-on technical guidance to junior mechanics and workshop support staff.
    • Assign tasks, monitor workmanship quality, and ensure jobs are completed within set timelines.
    • Support on-the-job training and skills development for the workshop team.

    Workshop & Fleet Management Support

    • Maintain accurate maintenance records, job cards, and service histories for trucks and plant equipment.
    • Support spare parts identification, usage control, and proper tooling management.
    • Assist in planning maintenance schedules to reduce breakdowns and operational disruptions.

    Safety, Compliance & Housekeeping

    • Ensure all mechanical works comply with TTS safety, health, and environmental standards.
    • Enforce proper use of PPE and safe workshop practices at all times.
    • Report incidents, near-misses, and equipment safety concerns promptly.

    Qualifications & Experience

    Education:

    • Diploma or Certificate in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

    Experience:

    • Minimum of 5–7 years hands-on experience as an automotive mechanic, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
    • Strong experience working with heavy commercial trucks and plant/recycling equipment.

    Key Skills & Competencies

    Debt Collector

    PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

    The Debt Collection Assistant supports the Finance team in following up outstanding customer payments, maintaining accurate debtor records, and ensuring timely cash collections in line with approved credit terms.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    Debt Follow-Up & Collections Support

    • Conduct daily follow-ups on outstanding invoices through calls, emails, and reminders.
    • Share customer statements and payment reminders as instructed.
    • Track promised payment dates and follow up on missed commitments.
    • Support site visits for collections where required.

    Debtors Records & Aging

    • Maintain up-to-date debtor schedules and aging reports.
    • Update payment trackers and collection logs accurately.
    • Flag overdue and high-risk accounts to the supervisor.

    Customer Coordination

    • Liaise with customers on payment status and documentation requirements.
    • Support resolution of minor billing queries to unblock payments.
    • Escalate disputes or persistent delays for further action.

    Internal Coordination

    • Work closely with Billing, Operations, and Sales teams to confirm service delivery and invoice accuracy.
    • Ensure all invoices and supporting documents are properly filed and accessible.

    Reporting & Administration

    • Prepare daily and weekly collection follow-up reports.
    • Maintain organized records of all collection communications.
    • Support audits and management reviews when required.

    QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

    Education

    • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

    Experience

    • 1–2 years’ experience in debt collection, accounts receivable, or finance support role.
    • Exposure to service-based environments is an added advantage.

    Technical Operator Coordinator- Recycling Plant

    Job Purpose

    The Senior Technical Operator Coordinator provides advanced technical leadership and operational oversight across recycling plant operations. The role is responsible for optimizing machinery performance, coordinating senior technical operators, ensuring operational continuity, enforcing HSE standards, and driving efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives within the Recycling Department.

    This position serves as the technical authority on shift/plant level, acting as the key link between operators, maintenance teams, and management.

    Key Responsibilities

    Technical & Operational Leadership

    • Provide senior-level coordination and supervision of technical operators across all recycling processes (sorting, shredding, washing, extrusion, baling, etc.).
    • Ensure optimal utilization, performance, and uptime of recycling machinery and plant equipment.
    • Lead shift planning, task allocation, and technical troubleshooting to meet daily and monthly production targets.
    • Act as the escalation point for complex technical and operational issues.

    Equipment Performance & Asset Management

    • Monitor machine performance indicators (uptime, efficiency, output quality) and initiate corrective actions.
    • Coordinate preventive and predictive maintenance schedules in collaboration with the Maintenance Team.
    • Ensure proper commissioning, calibration, and shutdown procedures for all equipment.
    • Maintain accurate equipment logs, breakdown reports, and root cause analyses (RCA).

    Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement

    • Identify operational inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and losses within recycling workflows.
    • Lead process improvement initiatives to increase throughput, reduce downtime, minimize rejects, and improve material recovery rates.
    • Support implementation of new technologies, machinery upgrades, and SOP improvements.
    • Champion lean operations, 5S, and continuous improvement culture on the shop floor.

    Quality Assurance & Compliance

    • Ensure recycled output meets internal quality standards and customer specifications.
    • Implement quality control checks at key stages of the recycling process.
    • Investigate quality deviations and lead corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

    Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Leadership

    • Enforce strict compliance with HSE policies, SOPs, and statutory regulations.
    • Lead toolbox talks, safety briefings, and incident investigations.
    • Promote safe work practices, proper PPE usage, and environmental compliance (spill prevention, waste segregation, emissions control).
    • Support audits and inspections by internal and external stakeholders.

    People Management & Capability Building

    • Mentor, coach, and develop technical operators and junior coordinators.
    • Conduct on-the-job training, skills assessments, and performance feedback.
    • Support performance appraisals and succession planning for technical roles.
    • Promote discipline, accountability, and teamwork within the technical teams.

    Reporting & Management Support

    • Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly operational and technical reports.
    • Track KPIs including machine uptime, productivity, quality output, and safety performance.
    • Provide technical insights and recommendations to management for decision-making.
    • Participate in production planning, budgeting inputs, and operational review meetings.

    Qualifications & Experience

    Education

    • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in:
    • Mechanical Engineering
    • Electrical/Mechatronics Engineering
    • Industrial Technology
    • Or a related technical discipline

    Experience

    • Minimum 6–8 years of progressive experience in industrial operations, recycling, manufacturing, or processing plants.
    • At least 3 years in a senior supervisory or coordination role.
    • Proven experience managing complex machinery and leading technical teams.
