    Project Assistant Officer-Component VI (Ref.: 2025/EAPK/04)

    The Project Assistant Officer – Component VI (Project Coordinator) will support the planning, coordination, and execution of project activities under Component VI. Reporting to the Project coordinator VI, project management, the role involves assisting in project management tasks, monitoring progress, coordinating with stakeholders and other project coordinators in ensuring timely deliverables, and contributing to effective communication and reporting to ensure successful project implementation.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    The duties and responsibilities of the selected candidate will entail:

    • Assist in the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the EAP-K program activities, in accordance with the work plans and strategies established in the project.
    • Support the execution of the Component VI workplan, including meeting coordination, documentation, and logistical arrangements.
    • Track implementation progress across all components and update consolidated dashboards, calendars, and status reports.
    • Assist with document control filing reports, contracts, meeting minutes, and correspondence systematically for easy retrieval.
    • Coordinate and take minutes for project coordination meetings, prepare action trackers, and follow up on implementation status.
    • Liaise with the Project Accountant, HR, Legal, and Procurement Officers to support smooth workflow and resolution of emerging issues.
    • Prepare briefs, summaries, and update notes for the Component VI Coordinator to inform project-wide decision-making.
    • Assist in the preparation and submission of monthly operational progress reports to the Component VI Coordinator.
    • Support the planning and logistics of capacity-building activities, project events, and technical missions.
    • Track and update the central project implementation schedule and monitor key milestones and risks.
    • Promote consistency in project tools and templates (workplans, reports, minutes, etc.) across all components.

    Academic and Professional Qualifications

    • At least Diploma or a bachelor’s degree in project management, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Administration, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field.
    • At least 3 years of experience supporting project implementation, coordination, or administration, preferably in donor-funded or development projects.
    • Experience with monitoring and evaluation (M&E) processes is an advantage.
    • Familiarity with project management tools, document control, and reporting.
    • Proficiency in Computer applications
    • Fulfil the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • The duties and responsibilities of the selected candidate will entail:
    • Implementing Component V workplan activities, events, social media posts, newsletters against agreed timelines and quality standards.
    • Drafting, editing, and distributing communication materials that highlight KENAS accreditation services and impacts.
    • Coordinating logistics for stakeholder forums, roadshows, and exhibitions, ensuring seamless setup and follow-up.
    • Managing KENAS’s accreditation social media channels under the guidance of the coordinator, posting regular updates and engaging with followers.
    • Maintaining an up-to-date calendar of communications activities, deadlines, and deliverables.
    • Collecting and analysing data on campaign reach, website traffic, media mentions, and stakeholder feedback.
    • Preparing weekly and monthly activity reports with key performance indicators and insights for Component V.
    • Supporting media liaison by scheduling interviews, preparing speaking notes, and distributing press releases.
    • Ensure all content and activities consistently reflect KENAS’s branding, tone, and governance standards.

    Academic and Professional Qualifications

    • At least Diploma or bachelor’s degree in communication, Public Relations, Media Studies, Marketing, or a related field.
    • At least 3 years of experience in a communication, public relations, or marketing or digital marketing support role.
    • Experience supporting events, producing communication content, and managing social media accounts.
    • Proven experience in graphic design to create impactful and engaging marketing and communication materials.
    • Familiarity with development or government-led projects is an added advantage.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • The duties and responsibilities of the selected candidate will entail:
    • Lead the implementation of Component V of the Enhancement of Accreditation Programme in Kenya Project, focusing on marketing, communication, and business development.
    • Developing and analysing the implementation of policies, strategies and guidelines for business development and partnership;
    • Developing and implementing strategies to increase sales, brand awareness and provide guidance on application accreditation requirements to increase client numbers;
    • Developing and implementing information on market trends, mapping potential clients and convert new clients to accreditation services;
    • Developing and monitoring information on the review of Service’s business development plan;
    • Leading sales and marketing of accreditation services;
    • Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to expand the customer base;
    • Implementing the organization’s marketing strategy;
    • Implementing and maintaining memoranda of understanding, developing project proposals, cooperation agreements and joint programs with government ministries, regulatory agencies, international accreditation networks, development partners, academic and research institutions;
    • Analysing data trends and establishing partnerships and networks with national, regional, development partners and international organizations;
    • Developing and managing project proposals and memoranda of understanding, collaborations and project partnerships;
    • Collating information and presenting proposals, quotations and contract documentation;
    • Developing and tracking Customer relationship management database and customer retention mechanisms;
    • Developing and implementing initiatives for client retention and customer relationship management;
    • Preparing and executing promotional campaigns, events, awareness sessions and one-on-one engagements; and
    • Collating industry trends, competitor conformity assessment activities and accreditation demand across sectors.

    Academic and Professional Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Management, Commerce (Marketing Option, Economics, Marketing, Project Management or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
    • A master’s degree in a relevant field is an added advantage
    • At least 4 years of experience in Business Development and Marketing.
    • Membership to a relevant professional body or its equivalent in good standing.
    • Proficiency in Computer applications

    Systems Developer (Full Stack) – Component III Coordinator (2025/EAPK/01)

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • The duties and responsibilities of the selected candidate will entail:
    • Leading the planning and implementation of Component III in line with the project’s objectives, timeline, and quality expectations.
    • Overseeing the end-to-end development of Accreditation Information Management System (AIMS) requirements gathering, design, development, testing, rollout, and support.
    • Coordinating user needs assessments and stakeholder consultations to define system functionality and technical specifications.
    • Overseeing system integration with relevant institutional ICT infrastructure and data protection protocols.
    • Supervising and supporting the Project Officer in coordinating system testing, training, and deployment activities.
    • Managing user acceptance, testing, change requests, and version control in collaboration with technical teams.

    • Membership to a relevant professional body or its equivalent in good standing.
    • Proven experience in project coordination or management of software-related projects.
    • Professional certification in software development, databases, or project management.
    • Proficiency in front-end technologies: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (React, Angular, or Vue) or other.
    • Strong back-end development skills: Node.js, Python, Java, PHP, or C# or other.
    • Experience with databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and ORM frameworks or other.
    • Proven experience in coordinating multi-stakeholder IT projects or digital transformation initiatives.
    • Proven experience in end-to-end software development lifecycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
