    Program Coordinator Africa

    • Program Coordinators are a key middle-point for internal Seedstars execution units and our core programs team to support Program Managers and Program Directors to ensure projects are implemented effectively from inception to closure. This is a fully remote position. Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted.

    Key responsibilities
    You will be responsible for supporting the program manager with internal and external project coordination. This includes but is not limited to:

    • Coordination between different Seedstars units to ensure the project is implemented effortlessly
    • Ensure the program is following best practices and being executed using the outlined content and curriculum from the Seedstars playbook, and that the best possible experience is being delivered for all involved
    • Support the program manager in managing relationships with relevant stakeholders
    • Track quality, operational execution, and customer(entrepreneurs) and partner success metrics
    • You will run experiments, compile and organize learnings and best practices to be shared internally or replicated in similar programs
    • You will take the lead in the writing and setup of the reporting and administration of the project
    • You will do a regular check on plans, budget and team progress

    • Your Experience
      • At least 2 years in operational or coordination positions. Such as running entrepreneurial innovation programs, supporting startups, developing startup ecosystem
      • Experience supporting startup & entrepreneurial programs
      • Experience working in diverse cultural environments
      • You are comfortable in using Google Workspace and have experience working with Slack, Zoom, Notion, and Airtable.

      • You are either a local entrepreneur or innovation enthusiast
      • You are an active member in your startup community.
      • Knowledgeable about the startup ecosystem in your country or region

    Internship – Kenya

    • Seedstars Africa Ventures is looking for an Intern to support its operations in Nairobi. This is a unique opportunity to work in the VC space in a newly created fund while making a difference by supporting innovating entrepreneurs in Africa.
    • The intern will support in all the activities of the fund, giving the intern the opportunity to build an all rounded knowledge base in Venture Capital, an industry that is rapidly expanding on the continent.

    The Intern can expect the role to divide into:

    • Screening and reviewing investment opportunities;
    • Carrying the due diligence process, engaging with founders along with the fund Partners; collecting, organizing and analysing reported information;
    • Preparing Investment Memos to present to the Investment Committee;
    • Supporting fund communication, including working on presentations and contributing to the fund’s online presence and reach;
    • Undertaking ad hoc market research.

    The candidate should have:

    • A strong interest in the VC and investment space, in startups, as well as in emerging markets, and particularly Africa;
    • Some work experience in Sub-Saharan Africa, having lived, studied or worked on the Continent; or strong cultural knowledge of the Continent;
    • Ideally at least 2 months of experience in a financial firm or management consulting;
    • Strong analytical and writing skills, with capacity to multi-task and meet deadlines;
    • Strong academic qualifications;
    • A strong command of English (both written and verbal); French a plus;
    • A self-starter attitude;
    • Experience in using Office, including Excel and Powerpoint.
