Job Description

The role has overall responsibility for managing the review of technology & digital assignments and spearheading analytics delivery for Group Internal Audit in OMAR.

• The role is responsible for the management of advisory and assurance work relating to technology, digital and data analytics. The role will manage teams & service providers in delivery of the technology, digital & data audit plan, including participating in the annual audit planning, updating the data plan and focus for GIA, and preparation of relevant reports. This role will support the OMAR Heads of Audit in managing stakeholder relationships and preparation of OMAR executive risk committee and board reports, and relevant work summaries for the OMAR entities boards.

Delivery of Services

• Delivery of impactful data-driven reports with well thought out management actions and due dates.
• Drive the identification of emerging risk and have the ability to advise/consult to 1st line.
• Facilitate the agreement of audit findings and rating with the relevant stakeholders.
• Participate in building OMAR cross functional capability with technology risk, cyber and data analytics

Skills.

• The role will assist to coordinate OMAR/group-wide assignments e.g., projects reviews.
• Provide input to the relevant committee and board reporting.

Customer

• Support the OMAR Heads of Audit in managing stakeholder engagement and relationships across the relevant portfolio(s).
• Participate in technology, digital & data portfolio key governance bodies.
• Work closely with the GIA SA team, especially the Technology & Change team, and have a reporting line to the OML Head of Audit, Technology & Change.
• Report to and support the Head of Audit, OMAR in execution of his/her tasks e.g., review of the various audit reports.

Operations

• Support the OMAR Heads of Audit in cross-functional resource planning and integration related to technology, digital & data, including the use of specialist or co-source consultants.
• Comply with IIA Code of Ethics and GIA Policies and Procedures.

People

• Support the OMAR Heads of the Audit in acquiring technology, digital & data resources.
• Provide input into performance management and development of direct or cross-functional reports.

Job Description

To provide effective management of the Company’s financial and other resources and ensure timely and accurate reporting

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Implement robust accounting systems that are embedded with appropriate controls that help safeguard the company’s assets and ensure accurate and timely reporting.
• Liaises with external auditors on audit activities of the company In charge of the preparation of annual budgets and long term business plans and ensures all departments and units comply with budgetary provisions
• Establish and monitor the implementation of an effective and robust treasury management system that secures company funds whilst maximizing profitability and facilitating effective cash flow management and compliance with the insurance act and investment guidelines.
• Manage the company’s cash flows in order to meet all liabilities as they may fall due. This will include effective asset and liability management in order to match the maturity profiles of assets and liabilities.
• Manage the company’s credit policy and effective follow up of debts.
• Sign company cheques and documents
• Develop robust investment strategies that will be in line with business plan
• Ensure compliance with statutory provisions in respect to financial reporting, taxation, other statutory payments and insurance act
• Prepare annual report and accounts for the Board and statutory purposes
• Management and Board reporting on a regular basis
• Files all necessary returns with the registrar of companies
• Advise management and the board on financial matters relating to Properties
• Appraise property investments to ensure required rate of return is achieved
• Ensure all properties are well maintained and all services are provided

 KNOWLEDGE ,EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Business or related field
• Professional Qualification in ACCA or CPA
• Minimum 5 years of practical Accounting & Financial Management
• experience at a senior level
• Advance Level competence in Microsoft Office tools
• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree qualification in Accounting, Economics or another related field.
• Accountancy professional qualification e.g. CPA or ACCA.
• Master’s degree qualification is an added advantage
