    Social Media Marketing Intern

    Job Description

    Africa New Media Group is looking for a creative Social Media Intern. This is an awesome opportunity for someone trying to build his or her career in Digital Marketing or Social Media. You will be responsible for posting content to our social media platforms. It’s a great opportunity to learn as well as grow as you will be working under the guidance of skilled personnel. You will be responsible for traffic generation in our social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    1. Post creative social media contents on various platforms
    2. Work alongside the team to create a plan for social media strategies
    3. Engage with our audience through responding to messages and comments
    4. Assist in implementing plans to increase followers on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram etc.
    5. Carry out assigned tasks and be able to give detailed feedback or reports
    6. Be able to learn audience insights and communicate findings

    Requirements and Skills

    1. A great command of the English language
    2. Super enthusiasm in social networking platforms
    3. Paying a close attention to details
    4. Eagerness to learn and ability to learn from mistakes
    5. Good communication skills
    6. Measure the success of social media campaigns and give reports when needed
    7. Provide timeous and constructive feedback and reports to management
    8. Keep content on social media up-to-date
    9. Prepare reports on website traffic

    Skills and Qualifications

    1. Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, journalism, public relations or related field
    2. Entry level experience on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram page management
    3. Understanding of basic graphic design principles
    4. Ability work alongside a diverse group of employees and multi-tasking
    5. Experience with doing online research
    6. Team player, critical thinker and problem-solver
    7. Good organizational and time-management skills

    Social Media Manager

    Job description

    Africa New Media Group is looking for an experienced and creative Social Media Manager to join our great, talented team. As a Social Media Manager you will be responsible for formulating, developing and implementing our Social Media strategies across our systems in order to grow our audience across the continent. You will be working closely with management, writers, editors and other social media personnel.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    1. Formulate, develop, implement and manage our social media strategies
    2. Define important social media KPIs
    3. Manage and oversee social media personnel
    4. Measure the success of social media campaigns and give reports when needed
    5. Stay up to date with latest social media best practices
    6. Work with writers, editors, management as well as manage social media personnel
    7. Monitor SEO and user engagement and suggest ways to optimize content
    8. Train others in the team
    9. Provide timeous and constructive feedback and reports to management

    Skills and Qualifications

    1. 3+ years of experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role
    2. Great leadership skills
    3. Social Media Strategist using social media for brand awareness and growth
    4. Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest and other social media best practices
    5. Good understanding of SEO and web traffic metrics
    6. Good understanding of social media KPIs
    7. Excellent multitasking skills
    8. Team player, critical thinker and problem-solver
    9. Good time-management skills
    10. Great interpersonal, presentation and communication skills
