    Studio Technician

    Qualifications (Education, Skills and Experience)

    1. Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in specialized in Journalism, mass media and related fields
    2. Certification in specific area
    3. Minimum of 3years’ experience at Grade 9 or at a similar position in a recognized academic institution.

    Responsibilities

    1. Assess the technical requirements of departments in liaison with the other staff to meet the needs of these departments
    2. Conduct user training and support for all staff on the necessary skills needed for effective service delivery in the end-user environment
    3. Develop and maintain suitable tools and reports as may be required from time to time by the University
    4. Work closely with the relevant teams to coordinate   their   efforts   towards    effective user support in the Departments
    5. Develop, maintain and regularly carry out appropriate data and application backup and security procedures.
    6. Any other duties that may be assigned by the immediate supervisor.

    Manager Convention Centre

    Qualification (Education, Skills and Experience)

    1. Minimum degree in hotel management, Business Management or any other relevant qualification.
    2. Five years’ experience in a comparable position
    3. Business Management or Marketing skills.
    4. Experience in management of a convention or conference Centre will be added advantage.
    5. Excellent organizational, team, communication and analytical skills

    Duties and responsibilities

    1. Supervising the operations and management of MKU Convention Centre including managing the staff and services such as, reception, marketing and multimedia facilities, sales and finances
    2. In charge of managing sales and marketing operations and set the budget to ensure profits are achieved with low operating costs
    3. In charge of any supplies of stocks and monitoring conference merchandises check for supplies.
    4. In charge of maintaining and safe custody of all equipment’s or assets in the MKU Convention Centre
    5. Work hand in hand with MKU staff cafeteria manager, accommodation manager and other relevant officers to ensure all the required services are provided to customers professionally conference center clients
    6. Responsible in answering and giving feedback to customer’s queries and perform quarterly feedback mechanism on quality of service being offered.
    7. Communicate regularly with the management team, prepare work schedules.
    8. In charge of managing budgets and financial plans
    9. Responsible for the recruitment, training, and monitoring of staff
    10. Research markets to identify new clients and opportunities
    11. Negotiate with external service providers and suppliers
    12. Ensure all the legal, health, government and other regulations are followed and complied to.
    13. Lead the marketing and sales team on various strategies in order to publicize the Centre
    14. Provide bimonthly performance reports to university management through the Director Institution Planning and Administration

    Assistant Store Keeper

    Qualifications (Education, Skills and Experience|)

    1. KCSE or its equivalent
    2. Diploma in Procurement and Supplies Management or its equivalent from recognized institution.
    3. At least 1 years’ experience in a similar role

    Duties and Responsibilities

    1. Prepare, conducting and supervising practical classes or courses.
    2. Participate in research and student projects.
    3. Service and maintain scientific equipment as per the operational instruction manuals.
    4. Ensure that equipment spare parts and supplies are available.
    5. Assess, determine and evaluate Requirements for assigned practical work.
    6. Any other duty as may be assigned by the immediate supervisor.
