    The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer

    JOB PROFILE.

    The M&E officer will support in designing ,developing and implementing effective M&E and accountability systems and processes to improve programme quantity for the NAWIRI project in Turkan ,in line with the donor requirement.

    Duties and Responsibilities ;

    1. Support lodwar caritas Nawiri staff in the planning, design and implementation of all  activities throughout the project cycle; from baseline/political economy analysis (PEA),to endline.
    2. Provide support during evaluation and learning processes.
    3. Support accountability to beneficiaries (downward accountability), ensuring that their involvement at every stage of the project cycle.
    4. Support project use of result-based management (RBM) and engagement with project 
    5. learning and review processes; and ensure lessons are used to improve project  decisions.
    6. Support project staff to gather, manage and analyze quality and sensitive data.
    7. Ensure timely data collection, analyzed data to inform quality donor reports ,to document lessons learned and programme impact and to inform future project development.
    8. Support project monitoring in a manner that is sensitive to the different needs,  responsibilities and capabilities of vulnerable project participants and communities.
    9. Support the project in developing up-to-date programme plans and log frames.
    10. Support the program in developing project strategy.

    Key skills , Qualification and Experience ;

    1. Bachelor’s degree in directly related field, such as monitoring and evaluation,  research,statistics,economics and information technology etc.
    2. 3 years experience in the industry.

    The Senior Program Officer (Nawiri Program)

     

    The Senior Program Officer (SPO) is responsible for the strategic planning and management of complex projects. The SPO will often direct the efforts of program officers and program associates to implement aspects of various projects. The SPO is also responsible for the management and supervision of direct reports through, providing direction, setting goals, giving feedback and coaching, and ensuring professional development and training. Overall, the SPO is responsible for ensuring timely, high-quality implementation of assigned programs, which meet budget parameters and 
    evaluation expectations.

    Duties and Responsibilities involve:

    1. Develops overall project plan, including key milestones, assigned resources and timelines.
    2. Manages and/or implements all aspects of one or more complex projects to include integrated evaluation,  monitoring and reporting. 
    3. Designs evaluation plans and tools 
    4. Designs agendas for sessions and workshops at annual conferences and convenings, and ensures the development and implementation of:
    5. PowerPoint presentations and webinars and developing and delivering training curriculum. Workshops and annual conferences including producing written materials like invitations,  announcements, agendas, session descriptions, assessments, evaluations. 
    6. Provides logistics management on reviewing grantee applications, interviewing potential grantees, disseminating grantee awards, and organizing convenings.
    7. Designs, implements, and delivers training and technical assistance curriculum through on-site and off-site trainings and workshops, at conferences, webinars and by phone.
    8. Cultivates, develops, and maintains relationships with existing and prospective community partners,  key stakeholders, and funders, as required.
    9. Contributes to the conversation in industry forums as an expert in the field.
    10. Engages and manages consultants/field staff working under projects. o Responsible for the proactive management of project financials and budgets, which may include multiple funding sources.
    11. Ensures timely and accurate reporting to funders.
    12. Works with the Director of Programs as an active contributor in identifying and testing new program  areas and expertise development.
    13. Writes reports and contributes to grant proposals and presentation materials for both internal and  external audiences. 
    14. Participates as part of a cross -functional team with Grantmaking to provide direction and support in  creating and reviewing grant-specific program designs and proposal development.
    15. Maintains excellent relations and communications with coworkers, partners.

    The WASH office ( Nawiri Program) - 3 Posts

    JOB PROFILE

    The WASH officer will work in close collaboration with the WRA (Water Resource Authority) and  plan and execute the following activities;

    Duties and Responsibilities ;

    1. To assist program heads to oversee and coordinate all activities of the department.
    2. To assist supervise construction and other activities in the field.
    3. To supervise contractors working for the department in the field.
    4. To design water intervention projects and ensure it is followed by the contractors.
    5. To prepare BQs for the different projects.
    6. In collaboration with the accounts department and program heads, to organize for payment of goods and services.
    7. To give technical advice to diocesan and other institutions when requested to do so.
    8. In collaboration with the department heads, to prepare quotations and send them out.
    9. To help create solar and electrical systems, in the absence of the solar technicians
    10. To represent the department in diocesan and other meetings as assigned by the program head.
    11. Any other official duty assigned by the program head.

    Key skills,Qualifications and Experience;

    1. Diploma in Water Engineering and Resource management or related course. Bachelor’s degree is an added advantage.
    2. 3 years experience in the industry.
