    Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist

    OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY

    • Reporting to the Head of Department, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical care in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. He/She will be expected to be an active member of the multidisciplinary healthcare team at the hospital and to contribute to the hospital's continuing professional development programmes

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Provide quality medical care within the department.
    • Drive growth and expansion of the scope of services within the department.
    • Participate in the departmental quality improvement and patient safety agenda, fitting within the institutional overall objectives.
    • Inculcate teamwork and a multidisciplinary approach to patient management.
    • Support medical education as part of continuing professional development services within the department and the institution.
    • Engage in teaching and mentorship activities of junior doctors and interns.

    The requirements

    • MMed in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from a university recognized by CUE.
    • Specialist Recognition by the Kenya Medical Practitioners’ and Dentists’ Board
    • Registered, licenced and retained by the Kenya Medical Practitioners’ and Dentists’ Board.
    • At least two years post graduate working experience.
    • Knowledge and interest in Laparoscopy will be an added advantage.

    Consultant Pulmonologist Intensivist

    OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY

    • Reporting to the Head of Department - Medicine, the successful candidate will be responsible for efficient delivery of Pulmonology Intensivist services to patients, mentoring junior doctors, assisting with critical patients in the ACU among others.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Diagnosing and treating patients with pulmonary disorders, including asthma, emphysema, tuberculosis, pneumonia, lung cancer, interstitial lung disease, lung infections, and other conditions
    • Providing medical care to patients in hospitals or intensive care units while supervising the work of other Medical staff

    The requirements

    • M. Med Internal Medicine from a recognized University.
    • Fellowship training in Pulmonology from a recognized institution
    • Must be registered/licensed by the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council.
    • Recognition as a specialist by the KMPDC
    • Valid Practice License from KMPDC
    • At least one year experience as a Pulmonologist Intensivist.

    Consultant Radiologist

    OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY

    • The successful candidate will be expected to provide radiological services to both inpatient and outpatients. He/she will be expected to be an active member of the multidisciplinary health care team and contribute to the continuing professional development programs in the Hospital.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • General reporting of images / studies, and discussions with the clinical teams. These studies include general radiography, Ultrasound, CT scan, MRI, Doppler and Fluoroscopy.
    • Development and review of clinical pathways and protocols.
    • Taking part in the quality processes of the department and the institution.
    • Teaching and mentorship of junior doctors and interns.

    The requirements

    • M. Med in Radiology and Imaging from a university recognized by CUE.
    • Licenced, Registered and Retained by the Kenya Medical Practitioners’ and Dentists’ Board.
    • At least three years after post graduate qualification, and working experience in a busy radiology and imaging department. general radiography, Ultrasound, CT scan, MRI, Doppler and Fluoroscopy.
    • Experience and skills in reporting MRI and various modalities of CT necessary.
