ASSISTANT ACCOUNTANT JOB DESCRIPTION

• Oversight and maintain A/R and A/P accounts. Ensure payments and collections are done in a timely manner
• End-to-end management of corporate customer accounts
• Ensure compliance with tax as well as other regulatory payment and licensing requirements
• Maintain a clear record of the company’s assets
• Perform regular stock takes 
• Assist in monthly financial Profit and Loss reporting to the company’s management and directors, as well as any other reports as required.
• Assist here required in the roasting operations, especially regarding preparing and coordinating shipments to customers.
• Provide accounting assistance to the Stean’s Beans group as required

Key Requirements

• Holder of at least CPA (II) with 2-3 years’ experience. Experience in retail environment is a must
• Independent worker who can manage her/his own time well
• Good communicator who is able to work with remote partners in the Netherlands as required
• Hands-on attitude and willingness to be involved in various aspects of a small company as required.
• Experience with stock management and dispatching will be an advantage
• Experience with Quickbooks will be an advantage
• Affinity with coffee is a must

Duties & responsibilities:

• Fully understand and safeguard the company key values and brand identity.
• Embed and improve the company values/identity in all aspects of the sales process, from on-line presence, the ambience in shops to advertising and promotions
• Coordinate the implementation of marketing activities and report on their effectiveness.
• Actively acquire new business accounts for B2B and be responsible for maintaining excellent relationships with B2B customers.
• Generate ideas for valuable and engaging content for our website and social media platforms that attract and convert our target groups to customers.
• Actively source for participation in promotions and strategic marketing events and be responsible for successful execution.
• Conduct regular surveys on product performance, new product ideas, customer service and satisfaction, performance of delivery platforms and give recommendations for improvement.

Qualifications and Experience

• BSc degree in Marketing or bachelor’s degree in business administration, communications, or a relevant field.
• 4+ years of hands-on marketing experience in a B2B role in the food industry
• Demonstrable passion for food and food retail
• Creative thinker, able to develop effective and refreshing marketing messages in line with high quality brand image
• ‘Can do’ pragmatic attitude with a strong personal drive to achieve.
