Qualifications

For appointment to this grade of Registered Nurse a candidate must:

• Have successfully completed a here (3) years pre-service training at Kenya Medical Training College or at any other recognized training institution and have been awarded the Kenya Registered Nurse, or Kenya Registered Community Health Nurse Diploma or Kenya Registered Midwifery.
• Be Registered by the Nursing Council of Kenya.
• Be in possession of a valid practicing license
• Minimum of two years’ experience in the same position

• Diploma in Pharmacy from recognized institution
• Enrollment with Pharmacy & Poisons Board
• Minimum of one-year experience in the same position

• Diploma in any of the following fields; Diagnostic Radiography/Medical Imaging Sciences, Ultrasound, Computerized Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Mammography, Nuclear Medicine, Radiation Therapy and Digital Medical imaging equipment or its equivalent from a recognized institution;
• Served in the grade of Radiographer or in a comparable and relevant position in for at least for two years;
• Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.

For appointment to this grade of a Laboratory Technologist, a candidate must have a:

• Must be registered and have a valid license to practice from Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologist Board (KMLTTB).
• Must be conversant with Laws of Kenya for Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Act CAP. 253A of 2012.
• Proficiency in computer package.
• Bachelor of Science degree or Diploma in Medical Laboratory Sciences from a KMLTTB approved institution.
• Prior training on ISO15189:2012 on QMS implementation and worked in an accredited laboratory is an added advantage.
• At least two years’ experience in the same position.
