    Quality Assurance Technician

    Position Description

    • The job holder will develop and implement a process that will identify and develop the capability of d.light Quality Centers and support after sales service team who will then deliver exceptional service to our customers in Kenya. The job holder will develop an evaluation framework & work with Africa Support Team on models that can improve KPIs around Quality in Kenya. The QAO needs to be highly in tune with the hardware Development, data analysis and the customer needs.
    • The Quality Assurance Technician will track customer feedback, warranty reporting, product replacement analysis, Top Quality issue analysis.

    R&Rs

    • Work with the after sales teams to identify and undertake all required testing and quality control activities associated with each d.light product, in accordance with the relevant specifications and associated standards.
    • Control incoming Goods quality control assessments.
    • Set-up and monitor process for Quality Center.
    • Provide detailed QA and maintenance reports for the engineering, system and manufacturing teams to improve the products.
    • Develop testing procedures for the new products and parts.
    • Manage feedback reporting on field test and soft launch products.
    • Create documentation for new products, services or working processes.
    • Drive improvements to test framework architecture and test coverage.
    • Track test gaps, quality and productivity metrics and work with other engineering teams to improve gaps from this data.
    • Provide after sales training to service center officers, Technicians, sales team
    • Drive the following Actions on products:
    • Continuous improvement techniques on the ground
    • Corrective Action
    • Preventive Action
    • Evaluate Quality Centers performance and audit of the after-sales activities at the Service Centers on a quarterly basis.
    • Share audit feedback with service center managers/partners and follow up on improvement areas identified during the audit period.
    • Inventory management – coordinate with service center managers to ensure parts and refurbishment stock availability at all service centers.
    • Implement daily cycle and weekly inventory counts to ensure it tallies with physical and system.
    • Ensure 100% quality center compliance on system usage for Ticketing, Work orders, Inventory management and Parts ordering.
    • Provide weekly and monthly after sales report

    Requirements

    KPIs

    • Quality Center quarterly targets. (100%)
    • Quarterly performance audit of Quality Centers as per approved evaluation and audit criteria
    • 100% timely utilization and accuracy of Service Module (Atlas) at Quality Center.
    • Spare parts and refurbishment stock availability at the service centers
    • Accuracy of Diagnosis
    • Weekly and monthly reporting on Quality activities.
    • Traceability and tracking of products
    • Soft launch and filed test feedback

    Desired Skills And Experience

    • A Degree or Diploma in electronics / electrical, operations, management, or a related field is required
    • Minimum of 2 years in an operational support role, having developed and deployed quality strategy for a technology / FMHA (fast moving home appliances) function.
    • Demonstrate the ability to understand business goals and recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in business objectives.
    • Strong mindset for continuous improvement and meeting or exceeding expectations and able to demonstrate complete discretion and confidentiality
    • Strong ability in data analysis and technical reporting
    • Superior verbal and written communication skills (multiple language will be an advantage), with an emphasis on tact and diplomacy
    • Business driven, people focused, with exceptional influencing skills; Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, presentation and time-management skills

    Treasury Accountant

    Position Description

    The Treasury Accountant will work closely with Senior Accountant in the areas of cash flow management, bank relationship, import and forex transactions monitoring with a view of improving profitability by assessing periodic liquidity needs to support Kenya commercial operations.

    Roles & Responsibilities

    Cash and Insurance Management

    • Support in the monitoring of daily liquidity and suppliers’ payments.
    • Manage daily cash transactions, ensuring proper recording and reconciliation.
    • Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
    • Monitor and forecast cash flow to maintain sufficient liquidity for operations.
    • Responsible for maintaining a productive and collaborative relationship with the banks.
    • Support in the administration of bank accounts (including opening and closing accounts, change of bank account mandates and KYC requests).
    • Provide support to various business units in insurance across Kenya.

    Reconciliation and Reporting

    • Prepare and reconcile cash and bank accounts.
    • Assist the Senior Accountant in generating reports related to cash flow.
    • Identify and escalate risks related to cash handling.
    • Timely reporting on the drivers for plan vs actual cash flow variance.

    Internal Controls and Compliance

    • Implement and monitor internal controls related to cash processes.
    • Ensure compliance with company financial policies for working capital, treasury operations, foreign exchange, interest rate risk management and insurance risk management.
    • Support audit processes by providing necessary documentation and reconciliations.

    Requirements

    Desired Skills and Experience

    Education

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
    • CPA (K), ACCA, CIMA or equivalent professional qualification.
    • Sound training on treasury and corporate finance management skills.

    Experience

    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cash management, or a similar role.
    • Familiarity with MBC ERP system and Vena is an advantage.
    • Knowledge of Kenyan tax regulations is a plus.

    Cost Accountant

    Position Description

    • The Cost Accountant will be responsible for ensuring accuracy of COGS and inventory. This role plays a critical part in financial operations, ensuring strong internal controls and compliance with company policies. The position works closely with the Senior Accountant to ensure seamless financial and inventory management processes.

    Roles & Responsibilities

    Inventory Management

    • Oversee inventory tracking and reconciliation to maintain accurate records.
    • Conduct regular inventory audits to identify discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
    • Support procurement by ensuring timely payments and monitoring stock replenishment.
    • Work with the finance and supply chain teams to align inventory valuation with financial reporting.

    Cost of Goods Sold

    • Manage a structure landed costing process with high degree of accuracy.
    • Manage productivity savings within operations to offset inflationary cost increases.
    • Ensure accuracy on actual product costing and monthly COGS reporting.

    Reconciliation and Reporting

    • Analyze planned vs actual cost variances and ensure timely reporting of the drivers.
    • Prepare and reconcile cash, bank accounts, and inventory records.
    • Assist the Senior Accountant in generating reports related to cash flow and inventory status.
    • Identify and escalate risks related to cash handling and inventory management.

    Internal Controls and Compliance

    • Implement and monitor internal controls related to inventory processes.

    • Support audit processes by providing necessary documentation and reconciliations.
