    Laboratory Technologist

    Is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a clinical laboratory, ensuring high standards of accuracy, safety, and efficiency in laboratory testing and procedures. This role involves supervising and training laboratory staff, managing laboratory workflows, ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards, and maintaining the quality of test results.

    Qualifications/Requirements

    •  Degree in Laboratory Sciences or Diploma in Medical Laboratory  Technology 
    • At least three (3) years of working experience
    • Registered and with a valid license from the Kenya Medical Laboratory  Technicians and Technologists Board 
    • Trained and must demonstrate understanding of Laboratory Quality  Management Systems (QMS) initiatives.
    • Proficiency in computer skills (especially Health Management Information  Systems).
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills

    Desirable Competencies

    • Ability to lead a medical team, manage staff, and oversee clinical  operations.
    • Project management and report writing skills.
    • Training or certification in hospital administration, public health, or  emergency care.
    • Ability to handle budgeting and resource management

    Community Oral Health Officer (COHO)

    Responsible for delivering preventive, promotive, and basic curative oral health services, especially in community and rural settings, while observing the acceptable standards of operation.

    Academic Qualifications

    • Diploma or Degree in Community Oral Health from a recognized institution.
    • Registration with a valid license from the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC)
    • Minimum of two (2) years’ post-internship experience 
    • Certificate in Basic Life Support (BLS)
    • Experience in community outreach programs, school dental health programs, or mobile dental clinics is an added advantage.
    • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of dental hygiene, oral health, and infection prevention and control.
    • Proficiency in computer skills (especially Health Management Information Systems).

    Desired Competencies

    • Ability to perform basic dental procedures (examinations, extractions, prophylaxis, fluoride application).
    • Strong knowledge of oral disease prevention, health education, and community mobilization.
    • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
    • Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with industry advancements.
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills, especially with rural or underserved populations.
