    Principal Driver- 4 Posts

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Duties and responsibilities at this level will involve driving a vehicle as authorized; carrying out
    • routine checks on the vehicle’s cooling, oil, electrical and brakes> tYre pressure; and brake SYstems,
    • etc; detecting and reporting malfunctioning of the vehicle systems; maintenance of work ticket (s). for

    Requirements for Appointment
    For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:-

    • Served in the grade of Chief Driver CSGI I/JG ' J’ for a minimum period of three (3) years;
    • Passed Occupational Trade Test I for Drivers;
    • A valid driving license free from any current endorsement(s) R)r class(es) of vehicle(s) the officer is required to drive;
    • Defensive Driving Certificate from the Automobile Association(AA) of Kenya or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
    • Attended Refresher Course for drivers lasting not less than one (1) week within every three (3) Years at Kenya Institute of Highway and Building Technology (KIHGT) or any other recognized Institution;
    • A valid certificate of Good Conduct from the Kenya Police;
    • Attended a First-Aid Certificate Course lasting not less than one (1) week from st John Ambulance or KenYa Institute of Highway and Building Technology (KIHBT) or any other recognized institution; and
    • Demonstrated outstanding professional competence in work performance and results.

    • Defensive Driving Certificate from the Automobile Association (AA) of Kenya or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;

    • A valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Kenya Police;

    • Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) Mean grade 'D’ plain or its equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution;
    • A valid driving license free from any current endorsement (s) for class (es) an officer is required to drive;
    • Attended a First-Aid Certificate lasting not less than one (1) week at St. John Ambulance or Kenya Institute of Highway and Building Technology (KIHBT) or any other recognized Institution;
    • Passed Suitability Test for Driver Grade III;
    • Passed Practical Test for Drivers conducted by respective Ministry/ Department;
    • A valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Kenya Police; and
    • At least two (2) years driving experience.

    Senior Support Staff- 13 Posts

    Artisan Buildings CSG IS - (3) Posts

    V.NO. SDPW 7/2023

    Duties and Responsibilities

    1. This is the entry grade into the cadre. The artisan function entails undertaking improvement of works: repair works and maintenance of Government building in the area of specialization (Carpentry, Masonry, Painting and Plumbing). In addition, the function entails preparation of repair and maintenance
    2. schedules, managing maintenance workshops and facilitating other technical personnel in more complicated technical assignments.

    • Government Trade Test Certificate Grade III in the area of building or equivalent and relevant qualification from a recognized institution
