    Field Engineer- Road Works

    Description

    • Supervise construction site activities and ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
    • Ensuring that all site records are prepared on time and submitted as required;
    • Collection of data on road inventory for use in preparing roadwork programmes and cost estimates in liaison with the Resident Engineer.
    • Obtain, compile and analyse all data necessary for appraisal of road works to reconcile the available resources with the planned and contracted scope of works;
    • Conduct engineering surveys for roads and other structures including
    • Provide inputs into the design process.
    • Make any necessary changes to the design drawings as per the site conditions following approval from Resident Engineer.
    • Develop geometric design from the survey results using AutoCAD, Civil CAD and/or other appropriate programmes;
    • Review the hydrological and drainage designs and modify as per the project requirements on site.
    • Supervise contractors on site, ensuring that the works meet the highest standards expected Tatu City.
    • Monitor construction and rehabilitation works, including environmental mitigation and safety plans in accordance with contractual agreements;
    • Review the contractor’s work programmes, resource, schedule and project implementation plan and ensure that the contractors/site supervisors comply with their work plans and complete the work within the specified time frame;
    • Ensure all works, undertaken by the contractor and/or his agent, are of good quality, as per specifications and with approved quality materials;
    • Assess and evaluate the contractor’s performance and resources;
    • Provide clear written and verbal instructions to the contractor or contractor’s representative(s) on site, and effectively and quickly resolve any project-related problems or issues causing delay;
    • Be able to prepare the drafts for contractual correspondence, interpret the contract conditions and specifications, monitor the progress of work, be able to prepare work plans, minutes of meetings, etc

    Requirements

    • A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering/building and Construction or related field of study plus 7 years relevant site work experience in supervision of Civil Works.
    • Computer literacy and familiarity with standards Microsoft office application including MS Project and Engineering computer applications for example AUTOCAD.
    • Good understanding of Contract Management for Civil Engineering Works.
    • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
    • Proven track record in running projects

    Architect

    Responsibilities:

    • You will be responsible for creating designs for new construction projects, alterations and redevelopments.
    • Lead in the production of schematic design, design development and construction drawings.
    • Review new projects for compliance with the master plan to ensure smooth integration of the project.
    • Plan, coordinate and maintain project design schedules.
    • Lead the quality assurance team during construction, including site inspections as required,

    Requirements

    Site Architect

    Responsibilities:

    Landscape & Hardscape Execution:

    • Oversee and ensure proper implementation of landscape and hardscape elements as per design drawings and specifications.
    • Ensure proper execution of hardscape details, including pavement finishes, sublayers, joints, edging, and planter sublayer components.
    • Supervise and verify the correct tree settings and planter sublayer placement.
    • Ensure proper irrigation system installation and integration with landscape elements.
    • Oversee and validate the installation of children’s play areas, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications and safety standards.

    Technical Supervision & Coordination:

    • Coordinate with construction teams to implement designs correctly and resolve on-site design modifications.
    • Ensure the correct placement and construction of elements such as pergola footings, paving edges, and other structural elements affecting the landscape.
    • Collaborate with the design team to address and adapt any necessary changes in the field.
    • Verify proper drainage implementation to prevent water accumulation or improper water flow.
    • Ensure correct slope setting in all paved and landscaped areas to ensure optimal usability and water runoff.
    • Oversee and guide the execution of water features, ensuring correct slopes, equipment placement, and finishing quality.

    Quality Control & Compliance:

    • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, construction codes, and best practices in landscape architecture.
    • Conduct quality control inspections to confirm that the materials and construction techniques meet project standards.
    • Ensure all landscape and hardscape works are executed as per approved plans and specifications.
    • Monitor and report any deviations, issues, or non-compliance on-site.

    Communication & Reporting:

    • Act as the primary liaison between the design team and construction site personnel.
    • Provide regular progress updates to management and design teams.
    • Prepare site reports documenting construction progress, design deviations, and technical resolutions.
    • Coordinate and communicate effectively with project managers, contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, Landscape Architecture, Urban Design, or Civil Engineering with Landscape experience
    • 7+ years of experience in landscape and hardscape construction. Experience working on plazas, public spaces. Etc.
    • Strong knowledge of hardscape details, pavement finishes, sublayers, drainage systems, irrigation, and planting techniques.
    • Experience in resolving on-site technical issues and coordinating with construction teams.
    • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
    • Familiarity with construction materials, methods, and industry best practices.
    • Strong understanding of children’s play area construction and safety standards.
    • Experience with water feature construction, including slopes, drainage, and equipment placement.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to project changes effectively.
    • Strong communication and leadership skills to coordinate between multiple teams.
    • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar design and drafting software is an advantage.

    Field Supervisor- Building Works

    Responsibilities

    • Prepare work and resource schedule and ensure that the site team and/or subcontractors comply with the work plans and complete the work within the specified time frame;
    • Ensure all works, undertaken by the site team and/or subcontractor, are of good quality, as per specifications and with approved quality materials;
    • Assess, evaluate and report daily performance of resources including labour and equipment.
    • Provide clear written and verbal instructions to site team and/or subcontractor, and effectively and quickly resolve any project-related problems or issues causing delay;
    • Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during construction and escalate issues to Construction Manager when necessary.

    Requirements

    • A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering/building and Construction or related field of study plus 7 years relevant site work experience in supervision of Civil Works.
    • Or Diploma in Civil Engineering/Building and Construction or related field of plus 10 years relevant site work experience in supervision of Civil Works.
    • Computer literacy and familiarity with standards Microsoft office application including MS Project and Engineering computer applications, for example AUTOCAD.
    • Good understanding of specifications and methodologies for Civil Engineering Works.

    DCC Architect

    Description

    • Regulate and guide physical development in Tatu City by reviewing architectural and development proposals.
    • Ensure compliance with zoning, planning regulations, building codes, and city guidelines.
    • Align development with the city’s vision for sustainable, inclusive, and high-quality urban environments.

    Requirements

    SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

    • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, Urban Design, or related field from a recognized institution.
    • Registered Architect with BORAQS.
    • Minimum 7 years’ experience in architectural practice, with experience in design review, planning control, or development regulations.
    • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, SketchUp, and related review software.
    • Deep understanding of local Kenyan building codes, zoning and planning regulations, and urban design principles.
    • Familiarity with interpreting masterplans, environmental impact assessments, and multi-use development proposals.

    Project Manager

    Position overview

    The Project Manager focuses on various projects throughout the development lifecycle at Tatu City; from site identification in the master plan to delivery of infrastructure to both Tatu City and third-party real estate developments. This is done through effective management of the set budgets and timelines, in conjunction with service providers (where relevant), and then subsequent execution of development activities against these targets and eventual handing over.

    Responsibilities

    • Complete Projects on time and within the approved budget.
    • Design and set-up the most suitable and effective control organization on all projects to meet these objectives in compliance with contractual specifications.
    • Support the decision-making process by providing all information necessary for a rapid identification of any unfavourable trend or any potential problem in time to start immediate corrective actions.
    • Create a schedule, cost, risks awareness atmosphere among all project participants.
    • Organize and maintain the best integration between scheduling and cost control and Risks Management functions ensuring that any activity is carefully planned and controlled in terms of time, budget and scope of work.
    • Manage and maintain current and accurate records on internal and client database and document control systems (including all logs – material, drawings, RFI etc.).
    • Work with client project managers and vendors to prepare technical and project documentation.
    • Perform internal and vendor audits on the quality, accuracy, and completeness of required documents, database records and information.
    • Properly design the projects Control system suitably scaled to the specific complexity of the projects.
    • Agree with the Project Managers and with the advice of the project Controls staff on the control philosophy and the best strategy.
    • Establish the resources and organization (skills, manpower, list of tools and procedures applicable, communications) needed to achieve the control strategy; in case of complex projects, a “Projects Control Plan” document should be issued.
    • Ensure, during the initial phase after contract award, the implementation of the Projects Control System.
    • Establish the overall projects breakdown structure and relevant coding system to meet all control requirements.
    • Coordinate the implementation of application systems required for the Job.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in civil or architectural engineering, Construction Management, or an equivalent degree
    • A minimum of 7 years’ experience in construction project management
    • Proven experience in Project management handling multistorey projects
    • Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards

    Procurement Associate

    Description

    The procurement Associate will support the Procurement Team by direct execution and oversight of all procurement matters, management of materials and items that are procured and needed for the construction of our master-plan developments within Tatu City.

    Key responsibilities

    • Work with Project Managers to ensure conformity of procured materials and services with project specifications.
    • Identify, prequalify and engage reliable suppliers and vendors, while maintaining a database of various vendors and suppliers.
    • Request for completion of procurement related forms and obtain and analyze price quotes.
    • Negotiate with suppliers and vendors on to secure advantageous terms on cost, payment terms and delivery periods.
    • Review and perform risk assessment on new agreements/contracts with suppliers/vendors to ensure feasibility.
    • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers.
    • Prepare purchase orders, plan and confirm delivery of materials and services.
    • Forecast to the finance team vendor and supplier payments that are due or expected for proper planning.
    • Collate the required audit trail and documentation to satisfy the finance department that a payment is due.
    • Prepare procurement reports.
    • Maintain records and inventory of materials in various company stores.
    • Track and coordinate the storage and dispatch of materials.
    • Maintain suitable inventory levels for various materials.

    Skills and Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in Procurement & Supply Chain Management or any other related courses with at least.
    • 3- 4 years of procurement experience in real estate and construction industries.
    • An understanding or interest in property market and trends, with regards to prices of inputs for construction and real estate development.
    • Good knowledge of supplier or third-party management software.
    • Good knowledge of international markets and sourcing processes.
    • Experience in logistics management is an added advantage.

    Real Estate Advisor - Jabali

    Description

    The Real Estate Advisor is responsible for identifying new sales leads, scheduling site visits, and participating in fairs, presentations, and exhibitions to promote sales revenue for JABALI off plan residential developments at Tatu City. Additionally, this role involves supporting the Head of Sales and Deputy Head of Sales in executing objectives, strategies, and action plans to enhance the sales earnings of Jabali residential developments at Tatu City.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Liaising with buyers and providing them with details of all Jabali residential developments inter alia price, size and location.
    • Prospecting, originating and closing sales at Tatu city, Jabali residential developments.
    • Building a good knowledge of the property market both at the local and international levels and providing clients with required information to influence purchase decisions.
    • Assisting the Head of Sales and Deputy Head of Sales in planning and coordinating open days or other initiatives to develop new leads and increase sales.
    • Developing well-established links with agencies and brokerage firms to assist in the sales process and drive;
    • Performing administrative duties and attending seminars/ trade show exhibitions to receive information relevant to the market as required and generate sales,
    • Assisting the Head of Sales and the Deputy Head of Sales in hosting client presentations where required in view of increasing the Tatu City, Jabali residential developments client database.
    • Developing and maintaining relationships with clients as well as understanding their property needs.
    • Collating market data and intelligence on all Rendeavour’s key markets in Kenya and provide quarterly report on trends.
    • All other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Head of Sales and or the Deputy Head of Sales.
    • Make use of CRM (sales force) to record ALL sales activities.

    Skills and Experience

    • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in sales, marketing or business studies in a recognized institution would be an added advantage.
    • Wide and productive network and leads in the Kenyan business circles.
    • Must have 3-5 years of experience selling off-plan projects.
