    Sheetmetal Worker

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Fabricate, assemble, install, and repair sheet metal products and systems such as ducts, vents, roofs, gutters, and other structures.
    • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to prepare materials and carry out required jobs.
    • Operate and maintain various sheet metal tools and equipment, including shears, brakes, drills, and welding machines.
    • Measure, cut, and bend sheet metal to specific dimensions using manual or computerized equipment as required.
    • Assemble parts by welding, bolting, and soldering components to ensure structural integrity and functionality.
    • Ensure all products and systems adhere to established specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.
    • Perform routine maintenance, adjustments, and repairs on sheet metal tools and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
    • Install and maintain HVAC ducts and systems, roofing panels, and other architectural sheet metal components.
    • Inspect completed work to ensure proper installation, alignment, and compliance with project specifications.
    • Work closely with team members, supervisors, and contractors to coordinate project tasks and meet deadlines.
    • Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all safety regulations and procedures.
    • Required to comply with all occupational safety and health standards, rules, and orders applicable to their actions and conduct. The role demands consistent, proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), proactive reporting of workplace hazards, and total adherence to safety protocols to maintain a zero-injury environment.
    • Perform other job-related duties as assigned that are consistent with the nature and level of the position.

    Required Qualifications:

    • 1-3 years of relevant experience in sheet metal fabrication, installation, or repair.
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
    • Strong knowledge of sheet metal tools, equipment, and techniques, including cutting, bending, welding, and soldering.
    • Familiarity with safety procedures and regulatory standards for sheet metal work and equipment operation.
    • Ability to lift heavy objects, work in confined spaces, and perform physically demanding tasks in various working conditions.
    • Must be in possession of a valid passport and be able to travel internationally.
    • Passport should be valid for a minimum of one (1) year or more at the time of hiring.
    • Ability to obtain country-specific visas per the U.S. Department of State Foreign Clearance Guide.
    • Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain requirements for the duration of deployment.
    • Must be able to speak, read, and comprehend English.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Prior experience in an austere OCONUS (Outside the Continental United States) environment with a multi-national workforce is preferred.
    • Valid country driver’s license.
    • Experience in government or military construction or maintenance projects.
    • Familiarity with HVAC ducting or other architectural sheet metal applications.
    • Certification in welding, sheet metal, or related trades.
    • Knowledge of advanced fabrication and installation techniques, including CNC equipment operation.

    Aquatics Manager

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Serves as the aquatics manager responsible for managing and supervising the aquatic programs for an FMWR activity.
    • Assist the program manager with a wide variety of management and administrative tasks associated with operating a fully functional activity that is safe and enjoyable for all participants.
    • Participates in and or leads the planning process that results in providing a wide range of fairly typical, conventional and well-established basic aquatic activities.
    • Conducts all the necessary coordination of various details for reoccurring and nonrecurring aquatic, fitness, instructional, and joint community programs.
    • Interviews and selects staff and provides orientation, training and supervision. Provides leadership, direction, management and analysis of all aspects of the program as required.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    • Undergraduate or Graduate Education with a major in General Recreation or one of the appropriate fields or recreation related to the position or at least one-year specialized experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 
    • Must have at least 3 years of experience in a leadership role.
    • Must possess a Red Cross CPR Certification
    • Must be in possession of a valid passport and able to travel internationally.
    • Passport should be valid for at least one (1) year at the time of hire.
    • Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain requirements for duration of deployment.
    • Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.
    • Valid country driver's license and passport.
    • Country visa (as required in line with the U.S. Department of State Foreign Clearance Guide).

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Lifeguard Instructor and Water Safety Instructor certifications preferred
    • Shall have Instructor Certification as a lifeguard or water safety instructor in accordance with MWR Policy
    • Previous work experience in an austere OCONUS environment with a multi-national workforce.
    • Excellent organizational, time management and customer service skills.
    • Valid country driver's license.
    • Country visa (as required in line with the U.S. Department of State Foreign Clearance Guide).
    • Knowledge of and ability to conduct pool chemical testing, adjust chemical imbalances and document the results. 
    • Skill in planning and executing a comprehensive aquatics program that include a variety of aquatics activities which meet the needs of the installation. 
    • Shall possess the ability to analyze and prepare clear, concise, and technically sound reports related to work within the Branch. 
    • Shall be able to manage the use and maintenance of emergency equipment related to the aquatics program. 
    • Shall be capable of developing and overseeing emergency medical and rescue training, public education and other related educational and functional duties. 
    • Ensures all maintenance work, water chemical testing, pool vacuuming, filtration and equipment are within the scope required by preventive medicine standards. 
    • Shall serve as the Subject Matter Expert on aquatics for the installation.
