    Planning Workplace Design Manager

    Brief Description

    Reporting to the Senior Manager- Property and Essential Services this role will undertake workplace design, plan and organize the Safaricom Office Space Requirements, policies, processes, procedures and SLAs compliance, Stakeholders Management, Supplier Performance evaluations, Budget and Design reporting including taking lead in space related projects.

    Planning Workplace Design Manager Job Responsibilities

    • Workplace designer and space planner;
    • Identification, locate, allocate, storage, secure and dispose assets;
    • Offer interior design and work place space advisory including branding, facade design, furniture layout, floor lay out and accessories planning;
    • Implement and execute work place space policy including bi-annual stakeholder reviews ;
    • Develop a property registry, database of space layouts for usable space, occupants, space provisions e.g. gym, crèche, meeting rooms, parking etc.
    • Develop a space management process and system in line with the space policy to allow users and stakeholders interact with the system;
    • Research and advice on space culture in line with company’s corporate and people culture;
    • Verify and analyse operational reports and use emerging trends to offer better services ;
    • Plan, coordinate and implement departmental and space projects;
    • Monitor monthly reports on vendor expenses and liaise internally with supply chain and Finance for timely payments
    • Prepare weekly, monthly and annual reports.

    Requirements for the Planning Workplace Design Manager Job

    Key qualifying criteria

    • Bachelor’s degree (B. A. or B. S.) in Interior Design or Architecture from an accredited College or University and
    • At least 6 years’ experience working in a similar position within interior design, interior fit out works, office furniture design, architectural drafting, or space planning fields and proficient with ArchiCad or AutoCAD,
    • Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and MS office software.

    • Technical and professional proficiency in applying design principles and processes and ability to organize workflow;
    • A good understanding of current trends in interior architecture;
    • A ‘Can Do’ attitude to drive results and get the job done on time and to the customers’ satisfaction;

    Brief Description

    Reporting to the Director Corporate Affairs, The role holder is responsible for the effective and efficient management of the Legal department, providing legal advisory services and ensuring effective management of legal and contractual risks.

    This is a leadership role which is expected to ensure efficient and effective management of staff and resources in the Legal department.

    Requirements for the Head of Legal Department Job

    • Law Degree from a recognized university
    • Advocate of the High Court of Kenya with at least ten years post admission experience.
    • Experience in handling complex legal issues and strategic leadership in projects.
    • Excellent interpersonal and networking skills with capability of managing external environment and exposures in representing in industry bodies are also required.

    Solution Sales Manager

    Brief Description

    Reporting to the Senior Manager- Large Enterprise and Public, the job holder will be responsible for the successful drive of Safaricom Enterprise turnkey solutions in the marketplace measured by growth in revenues, boosting penetration of new solutions and increasing profitability.

    Solution Sales Manager Job Responsibilities

    • Develop and manage new business with the existing scope of products and services to meet and exceed set revenue targets;
    • Perform requirements gathering and assessment of existing platform;
    • Apply specific experience to design solutions for enterprise customers;
    • Support solution pricing by advising on scope and cost of providing the designed solution;
    • Prepare and deliver presentations for user, management, and executive level audiences;
    • Business and technical liaison for the solution connecting Safaricom development, vendor development, and client needs;
    • Drive enterprise revenue via direct sales engagement;
    • Identify and create opportunities and solutions in new markets;
    • Proactively identify, engage in, and drive strategic solution sales based on targeted customers;
    • Liaise with cross functional teams and partners to develop new propositions for customers;
    • Develop value added partners/resellers to position Enterprise Business Unit propositions;
    • Support a go to market strategy for non-standard propositions;
    • Ensure timely and accurate revenue reports (both sales and billing revenue).

    Requirements for the Solution Sales Manager Job

    • Degree in Engineering or business related discipline;
    • Over 6 years experience in technical sales and/or business consulting
    • Track record in achieving set revenue targets
    • Strategic Thinker and strong relationship building skills;
    • Certifications in CCDA, CIM, KIM or CSE will be an added advantage;
    • Proposal writing and presentation skills;
    • Good Negotiator.

    Support Analyst

    Brief Description

    Reporting to the Senior Manager – Enterprise Systems Support, the position holder will provide 1st and 2nd line functional and technical support of Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning systems, Point Of Sale Retails Systems, Identity Management System and other related systems.

    Support Analyst Job Responsibilities

    • Work Closely with the team to provide Expert Support to the assigned Systems.
    • Monitor assigned systems and all the interfaces to other applications and manage the technical operations including incident and change management.
    • Ensure availability and usability of the assigned systems and data integrity.
    • Proactively Identify and resolve problems that may impact end users.
    • Review support procedures and processes and initiate quality checks of assigned systems and other related applications.
    • Ensuring documentation of all interfaces and document RCA of System Incidences and Faults.
    • Respond promptly to inquiries and requests from both internal and external users.
    • Provide 2nd level product support.
    • Recommend appropriate course of action or system changes to address issues.
    • Provide secondary and tertiary support for these systems and all interfaces.
    • Provide weekly and monthly reports on the assigned systems’ technical operations.
    • Upgrading applications before rollout provision of UAT’s environment.
    • End to end project management of systems upgrades, successful delivery to market on time, with minimal adverse impact.
    • Liaising with Key Strategic Business units and Suppliers developers to ensure stakeholders are kept informed of issues affecting system.
    • Work with external and internal technical teams to ensure efficient resolution of all systems issues.
    • Develop, test and document disaster Recovery Plans for the above systems and related applications.

    Requirements for the Support Analyst Job

    • University Degree in IT or Comp Science or related field.
    • UNIX and Oracle Certification a must.
    • Working knowledge of Oracle SQL and PLSQL.
    • 2-3 years’ experience in a client server environment.
    • 2 years DBA and/or Application Support experience
    • Programming skills in any 4GL or a functional programming language e.g. SQL
    • Highly developed analytical thinking skills
    • Ability to role-model and manage customers and fellow team member.
