Position Summary
Reporting to the HIGDA Deputy Chief of Party, the Data Analytics Director will spearhead HIGDA?s data analytics pillar to include data demand and information use and project evaluation and performance measurement strategies. S/he will tale lead in HIGDA activities by providing guidance in the endeavors that seek to examine the various healthcare data to determine how health care can be improved while optimizing on investments and ensuring routine utilization of data as the basis of evidence based culture of health management. S/he will be responsible for the direction and oversight of analytics and reporting towards the realization of the related HIGDA outcomes.
The Data analytics Director will lead the design and manage HIGDA supported data analytics products including internal and external monitoring and evaluation strengthening activities. S/he will provide strategic data analytics direction and leadership for the design, implementation and evaluation of HIGDA activities. As a member of the HIGDA senior management team, s/he will work with the senior national and county managers to ensure strengthened capacity in data analytics and monitoring and evaluation. S/he will ensure that the development and implementation of policies and guidelines are aligned to the policy documents and hence to the corresponding annual work plans. S/he will work with national program heads and stake holder project advisors to identify data utilization priorities and build the organizational capacity for analyzing, disseminating and using health statistics, operationalizing programmatic measurement and accountability review structures at select counties and at the national level. S/he will work with CMLAP and other HIS stakeholders to establish a Partners Coordinating Committee (PCC) to gain a shared understanding of sector progress against the SDGs and to provide training and mentorship.
