IaaS Delivery Consultant at Oracle

• The ideal candidate will be technically strong and have an understanding of large-scale distributed systems (cloud-based environments.

• Consultant is responsible for defining and justifying the architecture of solutions, proper sizing, detailed technical design, implementation and delivery in the IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service) environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate independently to provide quality work products to an engagement.
• Perform varied and complex duties and tasks that need
• independent judgment, in order to implement Oracle products and technology to meet customer needs.
• Apply Oracle methodology, company procedures, and leading practices.
• Work independently as well as part of a team.
• Demonstrate expertise to deliver functional and technical solutions on moderately complex customer engagements.
• Lead the solution design and implementation aspects of engagement(s) ensuring high quality, integrated software solutions within constraints of time and budget.
• Act as the team lead on projects, providing coaching, guidance and feedback to develop skills of team members.
• Effectively consult with management of customer organizations.
• Travel as needed.

Qualifications

Key Skills:

• Knowledge of cloud computing, distributed computing,

operating systems

• Implementing and managing Virtual environments
• Working familiarity with most network layers and

application protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP) and standard network architectures

• Experience building multi-tenant, virtualized

infrastructure a strong plus

• Linux, shell scripting a must
• Experience with AWS, EC2, Azure, OpenStack and/or other

IaaS environments a strong plus

• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Swedish speaking is desired. English speaking is a must.

Desired Skills:

• Experience in setting up High Availability environments

and scalable systems

• Familiarity with SSH and centralized

authentication/authorization

• Experience with java
• Knowledge of IT infrastructure components
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Enthusiasm, energy and ability to evangelize cloud

computing

• Flexibility, this is a high growth area that requires agility

• 5-7 years of experience relevant to this position including
• 2 years consulting experience preferred.
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
• Product or technical expertise relevant to practice focus.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to build rapport with team members and clients. Ability to travel as needed.
