    Senior Communication Specialist

    Job Description

    As a Senior Communication Specialist, you are responsible for providing communication support to Booking.com Partner Services. As part of the Partner Services Internal Communication Team, you will report to the Manager Internal Communications Partner Services, being his/her deputy as well.

    You bring proven employee communication experience, supporting internal stakeholders to deliver on internal messaging, events and communication tools across a global multi-office environment.

    In your role, you will be passionate about developing and executing communication plans that will translate specific business priorities into creative and engaging communication strategies and tools, tailored for the employee and helping to bring the unique culture of Booking.com to all offices.

    You will act as the natural team leader – primus inter pares – and the first to answer operational questions by team members. You share your knowledge and experience with the team members and help them to develop and grow in their roles.

    B.Responsible:

    • Deputy Manager Internal Communications PS during absence
    • Advice the Manager Internal Communications PS regarding internal communications strategy, crisis communication, team development and new media/communication tools
    • Develop and deliver creative, engaging and impactful communication plans to Booking.com employees, linking to the strategy and culture of the whole business
    • Support the production of communication collateral, including newsletters, fact sheets, FAQs, Web and social media sites, and events for employees and stakeholders
    • Actively source, measure and present employee feedback to your communications team and (local) management in order to increase impact and employee engagement worldwide
    • Champion effective, conscious communication and drive best practice standards across all communication activities
    • Constantly measure and re-calibrate communication activities for impact and engagement
    • Work in collaboration with other Booking.com internal communication teams to deliver a unified Booking.com voice and ensure maximum impact of communication efforts

    B.Skilled:

    • 5+ years experience in internal communications, working in teams, preferably in a fast moving, global industry or start-up company
    • 5+ years experience in developing and executing communication plans
    • Bachelor’s degree preferred
    • Basic management skills
    • Empathic, team builder, natural leader, passionate, creative, enthusiastic
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, together with strong copywriting skills in English (preferably native)
    • Strong organizational and project management skills
    • Ability to translate business strategies into practical solutions that optimize communication channels
    • Ability to influence and align stakeholders and define clear goals and progress
    • Ability to work independently to plan and prioritize workload in line with business needs
    • Strong employee experience focus and proactive attitude

    Area Manager - Credit Control - French

    Job Description

    As a Credit Control Area Manager, you will have direct managerial responsibilities over several teams and markets across the region. You will also serve as a member of the EMEA Credit Control Senior Management team providing guidance and direction to the broader EMEA Credit Control function across the entire region.

    As a highly visible leader, you support Booking.com BV by acting as bridge for its Accommodation Partners, for Partner Services teams, and other internal stakeholders, while driving delicate balance between Booking.com BVs revenue opportunities and collections optimization. And due to the rapid and significant growth of its business and the regional organization, the tasks and expectations of this role will evolve over time.

    Responsibility:

    • Analyze existing operational processes and identify opportunities for improvement
    • Support Booking.com BV with developing new collection methods based on the needs of the appointed area such as seasonality, economic conditions, available payment methods or other factors;
    • Lead and develop high performing teams to enhance working relationships with all partners, internal and external, while achieving multiple internal performance metrics
    • Support Booking.com BV by crafting business plans and resource allocation to ensure coverage optimization and scalability
    • Monitor data and analytics to calibrate approach or modify strategy as needed
    • Lead, manage and motivate the team by providing clear expectations, appropriate coaching, mentoring and feedback;
    • Partner with peers to set internal strategy, objective, targets for the organization
    • HR tasks including training, reviews and internal performance management and employee development;
    • Develop and deliver quality reporting through the effective use of IT resources;
    • Champion and share best practices with peers and counterparts;
    • Create an out of the box mind set to improve customer payment behavior;
    • Ensure adherence to Company policies and applicable governmental regulations;
    • Drive and engage in optimization and scalability projects

    Requirement:

    • 7 years in Finance/Accounting/Credit Control/Customer Service, with at least 4 years of people management experience
    • Proven leadership and planning skills;
    • Proven skills in managing and developing others;
    • Ability to proactively drive the assigned projects and reach the preset objectives;
    • Facilitate and practice security and confidentiality of information;
    • Advanced process development skills;
    • Thorough technical decision making skills;
    • Advanced presentation and interpersonal skills;
    • Advanced ability to recognize financial implications of business decisions and strategy;
    • Ability to work on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors;
    • Advanced understanding of business practices and systems;
    • Advanced knowledge of Audit and internal control issues;
    • Advanced organizational change management skills;
    • Advanced organizational design and effectiveness knowledge;
    • Advanced process development skills;
    • Advanced quality improvement skills;
    • Advanced teamwork skills;
    • Available to travel.
