    Human Resource Manager

    The position is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the organization’s human resources by planning, implementing and evaluating human resources policies, programs and practices.

    The job holder will also be expected to contribute at both strategic and operational level in order to identify human resource priorities and recommend appropriate people management solutions which support business objectives.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Developing and revising/updating existing human resource policies and procedures based on arising needs, sensitizing staff and facilitating the implementation of the same
    • Identifying staff vacancies and carrying out the whole process of recruitment to fill in these vacancies
    • Overseeing the process of performance management while adhering to the company standards
    • Maintaining in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance
    • Advising the management on sound employee relations strategies to ensure full compliance with legal requirements in line with the existing labor laws
    • Maintaining the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions
    • Facilitating staff development programs e.g. indoor trainings, mentoring, coaching and preparing training programs
    • Providing guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning

    Qualifications 

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or relevant field
    • Higher Diploma in Human Resource Management
    • A member of Institute of Human Resource Management
    • A minimum of 7 years working experience in a busy HR Department
    • Proven experience in dealing with trade unions
    • Self-motivated and leadership ability

    Finance Manager

    The job holder will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities, including the preparation of financial reports and forecasts for future business growth. The position will also be responsible for controlling the finance and accountancy functions to ensure that proper systems of financial controls are in place.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Ensure sound financial management for the company in compliance with IFRS and Kenyan statutory requirements
    • Formulate annual budgets in close relation with other departments
    • Analyse and forecast critical financial performance indicators such as cash flow, cost controls and actual figures against budgets / targets and conveying these analyses to the management and recommending on corrective actions where needed
    • Analyse and review aged accounts, accounts receivable and making recommendations for improvement
    • Assess the long-term financial trends and reviewing prospects for future growth of income
    • Create, coordinate and evaluate the financial programs and supporting information systems of the business unit to include budgeting and tax planning
    • Develop and implement risk management policies
    • Review and improve finance, accounting, billing and auditing procedures
    • Develop and maintain the property management database/inventory spreadsheet; update the database for each new purchase of equipment;
    • Ensure cash flow management practices by regulating debt, collecting debt and controlling credit.
    • Ensure compliance with tax, legislative and statutory requirements for both the company and the employees
    • Ensure adherence to the financial policies, procedures and practices; ensure compliance with contracts with suppliers and customers

    Qualifications 

    • A bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or business administration from a recognized university
    • Professional qualifications – CPA/ACCA finalist and a Member of Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) or equivalent
    • A minimum of 8 years’ relevant experience in finance
    • Thorough understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
    • Proven experience in service industry
    • Experience working in a fast growing environment
    • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections
    • Excellent team leadership skills, communication, organization and presentation skills
