    Financial Planning and Analysis Coordinator

    Job description

    About The Role

    The Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Coordinator serves as a seasoned finance staff supporting or leading a variety of sub–functions: financial analytics, metrics, and reporting. The FP&A Coordinator will demonstrate a proven track record and work in a fast–paced corporate finance environment. They should be able to adapt to change on a regular basis and deliver quick and accurate analysis. Further, they should be able to gather and interpret complex financial data. In doing this, they should be able to collaborate with key parties across the business to incorporate all relevant information into financial analytics to enable them develop insights and perspectives, identify business trends, and recommend action plans on core functions supporting the organization..

    Specific Key Responsibilities

    • Assist in income statement and cash flow forecasting, budgeting
    • Transaction analysis and reporting, including budget vs. actual analysis for different locations
    • Assist in developing and updating financial systems/models
    • Build and nurture strong working relationships with other team members and functional heads
    • Engage and collaborate with other teams across the region and beyond on ad hoc projects and modelling.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Requisite academic qualification (University degree/ CFA/CPA/CIFA)
    • 2-4 years’ experience in a similar role
    • Sound knowledge of corporate finance
    • Proficiency in extraction of reports from ERP systems
    • Proficiency in MS Excel and other MS Office tools
    • Ability to communicate clearly
    • Strong interpersonal skills
    • Ability to meet strict deadlines
    • Ready to embrace start up pace with a good sense of humour
    • Passion to help transform the world

    Technical Team Lead

    About The Role

    Andela’s Technology department is charged with implementing products that will help Andela to scale with consistency and quality while providing excellent service internally and externally. It is responsible for finding the best solution for Andela’s needs, not necessarily the best solution that Andela can build.

    In this role, you will primarily work as a Technical Team Lead within the Technology department leading a team of developers building a world-class software platform that supports all Andela internal products.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Responsible for the overall planning, execution and success of complex technical projects
    • Work closely with the Technical Product Manager and Stakeholders to ensure we’re building the best platform that meets Andela’s needs
    • Share responsibility for strategically scaling Andela’s internal platform
    • Promote and nurture good team practices such as TDD, code reviews, and pair programming
    • Bring vision to the team in the form of new technology recommendations, ideas and approaches

    • Responsible for the delivery of your work as well as any developers that work under you

    Qualifications

    • The ability to be located in Nairobi, Kenya.
    • 2-5 years of software development experience
    • Experience leading a team of software engineers in an agile environment (daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, etc)
    • Experience building scalable backend systems (e.g. microservices)
    • Experience setting up and managing a continuous integration or a continuous delivery process
    • Experience with microservices architectures, distributed systems, and messaging queues.
    • TDD and pair programming experience
    • A Bachelor's or advanced degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
