    Pricing Manager

    Brief Description

    Maximize passenger revenues by proactively initiating, negotiating, implementing and managing the fare offering of Kenya Airways and Interline partners.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop an annual pricing strategy to guide towards the growth of the airline’s market share, passenger revenues and Revenue per Available Seat Kilometer (RASK) in the assigned markets.
    • Review and analyze the company’s product pricing compared to published and undisclosed prices of competitors in the market place.
    • Analyze periodic reports and make recommendations to the Sales Organization in order to meet network revenue and passenger targets.
    • Track historical customer demand through quantitative analysis to determine effectiveness of implemented pricing programs.
    • Coordinate fare audits to ensure approved fare levels are filed correctly in the booking tools.
    • Prepare and present periodic reports in order to guide the business.
    • Negotiate group rates, tour operator deals, consolidator packages with the sales organization to maximize revenue opportunities for the airline.

    Requirements

    • A professional degree with strong emphasis on a business related field e.g., Statistics, Economics Mathematics or Commerce.
    • Excellent skills in analysis for high quality commercial solutions.
    • Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, Word
    • Entrepreneurial skills
    • Excellent negotiation skills.
    • Strong planning and project management skills
    • Excellent writing and presentation skills.
    • Excellent knowledge of Kenya Airways product.
    • 2 years working experience in a commercial area

    • 90% fare accuracy in I-PROS MVM
    • Optimal point of sale inventory availability in assigned markets

    • Timely response to pricing proposals received
    • Timely and accurate filling of fares in the systems
    • Accurate and timely reports on performance of fares per country assigned
    • Establish new market segments through pricing initiatives

    Director Flight Operations

    Brief Description

    The Director Flight Operations is the corporate officer responsible for Operations Control of Kenya Airways Flights. The role is responsible for ensuring the safe, legal and efficient flight operations of Kenya Airways’ Aircraft while meeting the commercial requirements of the airline.

    Detailed Description

    • Establish and maintain excellent working relationships for the detailed understanding of commercial, passenger, route and infrastructure requirements so that operations can meet them in a cost effective manner.
    • Ensure that the airline operates within a safe environment at all times by conducting Company Operations in accordance with the limitations of the current AOC and Company Policy.
    • Authorizing the specific flight operation(s)
    • Develop and implement strategies and plans including manpower, training, equipment and budgets to meet the business needs.
    • Ensure the highest possible standards of flight safety by setting and monitoring standards for training, operations, service delivery, security, reporting and communication.
    • Ensure training and develop of crew and operational staff to meet all licensing and regulatory requirements to deliver a high quality, safe and efficient service
    • Ensuring that crew scheduling complies with duty time regulations and all crew members are kept informed of any changes to the legislation and standards
    • Ensure the effective surveying of routes, the provision of navigation, Aeronautical Information, performance and operational information to crews so as to deliver safe operations.
    • Ensure routine monitoring of safety and quality critical activities and ongoing conformity with all regulatory requirements, organization standards and local procedures.
    • Ensure corrective and preventative actions identified by quality & safety audits; investigations or other internal reporting mechanisms are undertaken within the agreed time frame.
    • Ensure that Safety, Security, Quality and Risk Enterprise management policies are adequately implemented and monitored.
    • Maintaining an open liaison with the Civil Aviation Authorities (CCA) or any external agencies on matters concerning the operations of all company aircraft, including any variations to the air operator’s certificate.
    • Establish and maintain excellent working relationships for the detailed understanding of the commercial, passenger, route and infrastructure requirements so that operations can meet them in a cost effective manner.
    • Ensure that the Company code of ethics is adhered to.
    • Ensure proper succession planning and development of direct reports in order to improve efficiency and ensure business continuity.

    Job Requirements

    Knowledge, Skills, Experience, Competencies

    • Holds or has held appropriate license and ratings for which a pilot-in-command is required to hold for one of the airplanes operated.
    • University graduate desirable.
    • Must possess a full understanding of Kenya Civil Aviation Authority regulations and safe operating practices as documented in the company’s manual(s) to no less than extend of her/his responsibilities.
    • Three years’ experience supervisory or managerial experience within the last six (6) years in a position that exercised operations control over any operations conducted with large commercial airplanes.
    • Excellent oral and written communication outstanding leadership skills including the ability to formulate strategy and energize management.
    • Strong organizing and planning skills.
