    National Sales Manager

    Duma Works is recruiting a National Sales Manager for one of its client. The hiring organization is a Renewable energy company  in Mwanza,Tanzania that provides and finances accessible, affordable, and energy-efficient equipment designed for off-grid businesses in Sub-Saharan Africa

    Job Responsibilities Overview

    The National Sales Manager will be responsible for both strategy and implementation of our Sales Program.  The Manager will manage the Sales team across regions and products.  The position requires great organization, understanding of our customer audience, excellent coaching skills, and a willingness to travel as needed.

    National Sales Manager Job Responsibilities

    Sales Targets

    • The primary goal of the Manager is to ensure the Sales Team meet their targets
    • Collaboratively sets targets and budgets
    • Develops Sales pipelines to effectively forecasts future Sales;

    Team Development

    • Coaches the team and develops talent internally – at least 20% of time should be spent on talent development
    • Develops programs for training and evaluation;

    Strategy

    • Develops a deep understanding of our markets, generating client insights and opportunities
    • Co-designs new systems and processes to gain quantitative insights on customer behaviors and opportunities
    • Evolves distribution strategy, incorporating channel strategy and the utilization of agents and partners as appropriate;

    Channel Management

    • Maps out and manages partnership channels
    • Develops tools and processes to gain insights through each channel
    • Balances advantages and limitations / risks of each channel

    Ongoing Reporting

    • Manages customer acquisition costs, retention rates, repayment rates, and other key performance indicators.

    Qualifications for the National Sales Manager Job

    • Minimum of 10 years of related work experience
    • Led a sales organization of 20+ sales staff with TZS 1,000 million in sales
    • Developed incentive structures, policies, and sales practices
    • Managed independent, 3rd party sales channels and partnerships
    • Worked in sales to rural environments where distribution is challenging
    • Strong metrics based approach to evaluation and planning
    • Strong mentor and coach – enjoys developing talent
    • Bachelor’ degree required
    • Fluent in Kiswahili and English.

     Role Structure

    • Work closely with Sales Leadership

    Senior Procurement Officer

    Duma works is looking to recruit a Senior Procurement Officer for one of our clients; a distribution and finance company that sells high quality solar product and appliances to households and businesses in Uganda.

    Job Summary.

    The Senior Procurement officer will be responsible for the timely procurement of goods and services a, ensuring cost effectiveness commensurate with quality.

    All purchases shall be in accordance with company standard practices,and all state laws. The incumbent will promote and maintain a high level of communication and liaison with the external supplier community and departments.

    Senior Procurement Officer Job Responsibilities

    • Supplier Identification:Find and review potential suppliers of stock items to be bought locally and internationally to ensure quality products from suppliers under good terms, e.g. Credit. and present your review in a structured report to enable effective decision making.
    • Procurement Projects: Review opportunities for improving Procurement, such as changing local supplier or moving to bulk purchase of an item Stock Management.
    • Forecasting: Review and understand past and future stock movements at SolarNow, through which you work on accurate forecasting of order requirements for products sourced internationally.
    • Payment Planning: You review order requirements to enable accurate cash requirement planning across months, you further ensure that cash requirement is within constraints given by finance Order Management.
    • Overview: Track all orders made against key requirements set in the order overview to enable accurate tracking of orders and supplier management. You identify key trends in the data tracked and share ideas with your manager for improvements.
    • Order Placement: Get quotations from suppliers for orders, based on the forecast, and ensure accurate paperwork to place orders within a risk free Procurement environment.
    • Order Production, Inspection and Shipping: You work with the supplier and chosen shipping agents to ensure no delays and correct paperwork during the order process.
    • Review of shipping in a structured report to enable effective decision making. Use the information from shipping reports to actively identify alternative Management and Coaching.
    • Reporting: Prepare weekly report on time to enable accurate tracking of your work and the Procurement team
    • Quality Assurance: Review work done by Junior Officers to ensure it meets requirements
    • Performance Monitoring: Track and review the performance of Junior Officers to ensure optimal team performance
    • Mentoring and Coaching: Support the development of Junior Officers through Required Skills and Competencies.
