Sheer Logic is seeking to engage two dynamic individuals for the Truck Mechanic position for one of our clients.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in Motor Vehicle Mechanics from a recognized institution;
• Computer literacy;
• Experience in handling trucks. Specifically hydraulic systems integrated to trucks;
• Fabrication and basic welding skills;
• Past experience with airport ground service equipment will be an added advantage; and
• Ability to lead a team/shift is a distinct advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform molecular characterization diagnosis performing polymerase chain reaction (PCR) for various pathogens, including: viral, bacteria, protozoa, parasitic and other infectious agents;
• Perform drug resistance testing for various pathogens;
• Learning and undertaking advanced molecular biological techniques including real time PCR and DNA sequencing;
• Laboratory management including specimen logging, procurement, equipment management and inventory management;
• Participate in development of standard operating protocols and reviewing of the same;
• Track Laboratory quality indicators i.e management and compile reports for intervention and experiment designs;

Job Qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree in biotechnology or a related field from a recognized university.
• At least three years’ laboratory experience
• Must have a clear knowledge of molecular testing, biosafety, and biosecurity training and waste management.

Duties

• Managing field trials Soil sampling and analysis
• Gather, compile, analyze, interpret results and provide progress reports
• Provide recommendations to farmers to help achieve efficient crop production, crop budgeting and planning
• Developing protocols for product usage
• Crop rotation planning recommendations
• Remain updated with new agricultural techniques, trends and practices.

Job Qualifications:

• A Bachelors degree in Horticulture or Agriculture
• Good understanding, experience and knowledge of good agronomic practices.
• Broad technical knowledge of crops, products and farming practices.
