    The Scope

    The Analyst provides strategic business analysis services to business partners. Manages business requirements through design and delivery and implementation. The focus being to work closely with the business units to gain in-depth understanding of customer’s business strategy, processes, services, roadmap and the context in which the business operates. This role will be key to understanding the documenting capabilities needed to address business challenges.

    The Successful Candidate Will Be Expected To

    • Conduct research on software and hardware products to justify recommendations and to support purchasing efforts.

    • Lead development and communicate business requirements and functional specifications for the design and implementation of business solutions.
    • Responsible for the development of the business case and perform cost-benefit and return on investment analysis for proposed systems to aid management in making implementation decisions.
    • Make design decisions related to the capacity to automate. Decide on the extent to which business processes can be automated within time, scope and budget.
    • Assess the risks of various solutions and prioritize competing business demands.
    • Obtain key inputs from Solutions architecture teams and identifies solution interdependencies.
    • Collaborate with IT Project Managers in the planning, design, development, and deployment of new applications, and enhancements to existing applications.

    The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading teams to deliver project(s) that span across one or more business units. Manage resources, schedules, financials and adhere to stage gate quality and SDLC control guidelines throughout the full systems development life cycle. This also includes management of issues, risks and project change requests to ensure successful and on-time project delivery. Contribute to process improvement initiatives as it relates to improving project delivery.

    The Senior Project Manager has the authority to run the project on a day-to-day basis. Verify that the project produces the required deliverables of quality, within the specified constraints of time and cost and to achieve the potential benefits defined in the business case

    Analyst.Revenue Analysis

     

    Job description

    The Kenya Airways (KQ) commercial analyst is responsible for doing analysis that is instrumental in spotting opportunities for improving KQ’s revenues. You will support the department in budgeting forecasting and doing other ad-hoc analyses. This ranges from calculating the impact of new flights to investigating the impact of oil price on our revenue performance. You will be instrumental in monitoring and steering our revenues to be in line with company policy.

    The Successful Candidate Will Be Accountable For

    • Production of analysis on trends in Revenue, Yield, Traffic-flow and booking developments and advises stakeholders on threats, opportunities and steers corrective actions.
    • Conducting detailed data analysis to develop hypothesis and build business cases to inform strategic trade-offs and decisions.
    • Developing models & analysis to support decision-making regarding key revenue initiatives across business lines.

    Job Requirement

    • 2-4 years of analytical experience in a commercial environment

    • Expert user of Excel with VBA skills.
    • Experience working with SQL and database querying and analysis (Tableau) – use large data sets to find opportunities, drive insights and provide recommendations.
    • Excellent analytical skills, intellectual curiosity and ability to structure and solve difficult problems with minimal supervision.
    • Excellent written, verbal and listening skills. Ability to visualize data in presentations aimed at different audiences.
