    Lab Compliance Officer

    Job Description

    Our client is a leading multinational pharmaceutical manufacturer and the world’s leading provider of healthcare solutions today. They specialize in different product groups ranging from Dialysis, Surgical instrumentation, Clinical Nutrition, Stoma Care, Infection Prevention, Anesthesia and Intensive Care products among others. They recently acquired a plant in Kenya and are seeking to fill the position of a Lab Compliance Officer.

    The Lab Compliance Officer will play a crucial role in the Manufacturing process by averting non conforming activities thus guaranteeing products in terms of safety and efficacy.

     Responsibilities:

    • Enforcement of GMP.
    • Identify gaps in GMP implementation and appropriate mitigations.
    • Interpret and enforce implementation of quality assurance standards.
    • Evaluate the effectiveness of laid down procedures and identify the need to review them.
    • Monitor production process, and inspection of materials and products to ensure finished pharmaceutical product quality

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology or Diploma in Pharmaceutical Sciences and Technology.
    • 3-5 Years of experience in a similar role in the Pharmaceutical Industry
    • Good knowledge of Pharmaceutical Quality Management Systems &GLP
    • Conversant with WHO –GMP
    • Computer literate
    • Good written and oral communication skills

    Electrical Maintenance Technician

    Reporting to: Head of Engineering

    Ideal Start Date: 1st November 2019

     Job Description

    Our client is a leading multinational pharmaceutical manufacturer and the world’s leading provider of healthcare solutions today. They specialize in different product groups ranging from Dialysis, Surgical instrumentation, Clinical Nutrition, Stoma Care, Infection Prevention, Anesthesia and Intensive Care products among others. They recently acquired a plant in Kenya and are seeking to fill the position of a Electrical Technician.

    Provides operational power by maintaining electrical systems, regular test check and modifies experimental and/or operational electrical control equipment, circuitry and components according to engineering specifications in industrial plants;

    Diagnoses causes of malfunctions or failures, recommends modification or replacement of failed equipment and performs preventive/corrective maintenance.

     Responsibilities:

    • Ensure standard operating procedures are fully adhered to at all operations.
    • Ensure to tag all machines under maintenance and un-tag them for operation.
    • Timely fault diagnosis to minimize on critical down time.
    • Read, interpret and actualize electrical diagram on MCCs.
    • Control circuit installations for AC voltages up to 415Vac.
    • Motor installations, trial and testing in accordance with stipulated operating standards
    • Lighting installations indoors and outdoors and servicing of the same
    • Data collection on electrical equipment for the purpose of condition monitoring,
    • Performing preventive maintenance on electrical equipment including but not limited to; motors, lighting, generators, workshop equipment and hand operated equipment.
    • Daily report writing and hand over to next shift.
    • Maintains supplies inventory by checking electrical material stock to determine inventory levels; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for electrical material;
    • Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
    • Ensure personal safety and the safety of others while undertaking their duties.
    • Proper use of PPEs
    • Advice the company on areas of improvement to maximize output and reduce breakdowns
    • Participate in Energy Audit Report and its execution

    Qualifications

    • Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
    • 5 years’ experience in installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems.
    • Technical understanding, troubleshooting and safety management.
    • 30 min MTTR and recording data for MTBF detection.
    • 100% plant availability electrically.
    • 95% availability of electrical test tools.
    • Zero accidents in section/department.
    • 100% electrical machine maintenance as per SOP.
    • Good written and oral communication skills.
    • Computer literate
    • Good interpersonal relationship.

    Certified Boiler Operator

    Reporting to: Head of Engineering

     Job Description

They specialize in different product groups ranging from Dialysis, Surgical instrumentation, Clinical Nutrition, Stoma Care, Infection Prevention, Anesthesia and Intensive Care products among others. They recently acquired a plant in Kenya and are seeking to fill the position of a Certified Boiler Operator.

    Ensure proper operation of boiler, supply of steam to process plant and running, repairing and maintaining boilers systems.

     Responsibilities

    • Operate and monitor the boilers in an efficient manner ensuring that all work is undertaken in compliance with the operating procedures, legislation and the codes of practice.
    • Ensure standard operating procedures for boiler startup and boiler shutdown are duly followed and adhered to.
    • Ensure proper operation of boiler and supply of steam to process plant.
    • Ensure good fuel utilization to minimize wastage and cost of production
    • Maintenance of Boiler as per established schedules
    • Conduct troubleshoot & repair malfunction of Boiler.
    • Responsible for all, regulatory compliance and any other pertinent operations requirements for the boiler systems.
    • Ensure boiler is in good safe working condition at all times.
    • Ensure Shift logbook is duly filled and signed off at end of shift.
    • Continuous check of boiler operations to ensure smooth and balanced running of boiler parameters.
    • Ensure to carry out boiler blow downs as stipulated in boiler operating manual/SOP.
    • Immediately report faulty electrical/mechanical/instrumentation systems to relevant personnel.
    • Keep track of boiler steam production and boiler fuel utilization.
    • Keep clear inventory of fuel usage and ensure proper utilization of the same.
    • Ability to work under pressure and with shifts as may be required from time to time
    • Ensure high moral standards and be a team player
    • Ensure personal safety and the safety of other workers.
    • Ensure proper use of PPEs
    • Review of operational and maintenance procedures.
    • The duties can be changed or added at the discretion of the management.
    • Keep good reporting channel, and avoid over communication.
    • Handle any other duties assigned by management from time to time

    Qualifications

    • Certificate in Boiler Operation and Maintenance
    • 2-5 years of experience in boiler operation
    • Previous experience with wood fired boiler is an added advantage.
    • Able to maintain legible and accurate records/paperwork as required.
    • A working knowledge of safety guidelines and problem solving abilities.
