    Restaurant Manager

    Responsibilities for the Restaurant Manager Job

    • Promoting and marketing the business;
    • Managing budgets and financial plans as well as controlling expenditure;
    • Setting and achieving sales and profit targets;
    • Analysing sales figures and devising marketing and revenue management strategies;
    • Recruiting, training and monitoring staff;
    • Planning work schedules for individuals and teams;
    • Dealing with customer complaints and comments;
    • Addressing problems and troubleshooting;
    • Ensuring events and conferences run smoothly;
    • Supervising maintenance, supplies, renovations and furnishings;
    • Ensuring security is effective;
    • Carrying out inspections of property and services;
    • Ensuring compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations.
    • Making improvements to the running of the business and developing the restaurant.
    • Planning menus
    • Ordering supplies, overseeing stock levels and keeping statistical and financial records
    • Producing staff rotas
    • Greeting and advising customers
    • Preparing and presenting staffing/sales reports
    • Assessing and improving profitability
    • Setting targets
    • Handling administration and paperwork
    • Liaising with customers, employees, suppliers, licensing authorities, sales representatives.

    Restaurant Manager Job Qualifications

    • Relevant degree/HND in business studies, management, hospitality management or hotel and catering.
    • 5 years practical experience in hotel, catering, restaurant, waitressing or customer service work is essential.
