Qualifications and Requirements:
For appointment to the grade, a candidate must have:-
(i) served for a minimum period of three (3) years in the grade of Dental Specialist II, Job Group ‘P’;
(ii) a Bachelors degree in Medicine and Surgery, Dentistry or equivalent qualification from a university recognized in Kenya;
(iii) a Masters degree in Medicine, Surgery, Dentistry or equivalent qualification from a university recognized in Kenya;
(iv) been registered with the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board;
(v) a valid current practicing license from the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board;
(vi) attended a Strategic Leadership course in a recognized institution; and demonstrated administrative capabilities and professional competence in work performance
Responsibilities:
Duties and Responsibilities An officer at this level will be responsible to the Chief Dental Specialist. Specific duties and responsibilities include;-
(i) implementing specific projects and programmes relating to dental health care services;
(ii) providing dental health care services;
(iii) coordinating epidemiological surveillance on diseases; and
(iv) providing professional guidance and training to dentists and other health care personnel
