    Operations Coordinator

    Job Responsibilities

    The Operations Coordinator will report to and support the KEAP COP in program implementation, financial management, and administration, including ensuring compliance with IFES internal administrative policy and procedures and providing technical support to meet program objectives and donor requirements.

    Specific job responsibilities of the Operations Coordinator include but are not limited to

    • Supporting the KEAP COP with program implementation and monitoring in accordance with the work plan and budget;
    • As directed by the KEAP COP, organizing donor coordination meetings, regional working groups, and other activities;
    • Assisting with the procurement of goods and services, such as preparing consultant and vendor agreements, including defining terms of reference, deliverables, other requirements;
    • Supporting the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Specialist to prepare quantitative and qualitative reports;
    • Drafting written reports and presentations on IFES’ programmatic work for internal and external audiences;
    • Assisting with writing and reviewing of activity reports and event summaries, monthly reports, quarterly reports, project success stories, and final reports;
    • Assisting with recruitment of field staff and consultants, including preparing scopes of work, reviewing resumes, and collecting documents for hiring packages;
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree required, graduate degree preferred;
    • At least two (2) or more years of experience in international development, preferably implementing democracy and governance projects;
    • Familiarity with USAID regulations and reporting requirements;
    • Experience with budget management and oversight of large or multiple small projects;
    • Ability to manage and develop relationships in cross-cultural contexts;
    • Capacity to work well with minimal supervision;
    • Creative problem-solver with proven ability to adapt and deliver under pressure;
    • Highly proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office programs; familiarity with QuickBooks and social media platforms a plus;
    • Effective communicator, both verbally and in writing;
    • Fluency in English required.
