Purpose of Internship:
We invite applications from skilled and motivated young Kenyans to serve as intern at Twaweza. The purpose of the internship is to provide assistance and support to the public policy and engagement unit. Anticipated support will include mobilization of stakeholders (media, CSOs, policymakers) and communication of findings from Sauti za
Wananchi and Uwezo initiatives. The intern will be given specific tasks and responsibilities, which will include but not limited to the following;
What we offer
Twaweza does not offer any remuneration for its internships. It gives an exciting work environment, modern office space, lunch and a modest allowance to cover local travel.
The intern is wholly responsible for all other expenses, including health insurance, accommodation and incidentals.
Requirements:
We are interested in recruiting interns with degrees in Communication, Education, Public Policy/Administration, Sociology, Political Science or any other relevant social science and humanities degree. Knowledge, interest and experience with policy advocacy and communication activities will be an added advantage, but is not a requirement.
Send a cover letter explaining your motivation and a description of what you hope to achieve during your internship at Twaweza. Specify your main skills and the requested internship period/dates, and indicate if you need support to reimburse transport costs. In your email please attach your CV, transport costs.
