Overall Purpose of the Job

Responsible for assembling of raw camera footage into finished productions suitable for broadcasting or
viewing

Responsibilities for the Video Producer Job

• Editing of raw video material ensuring logical audio and visual sequencing.
• Maintaining audio/visual clarity of the edited clips.
• Choosing balanced shots relevant to the message.
• Completion of assigned tasks within allocated time.
• Proper utilization of editing suites and video editing software and equipment.
• Filling in daily editing reports.
• Prompt training of new suites users on editing principles.

Qualifications for the Video Producer Job

• Diploma in Mass communication, Media Studies or its equivalent from a recognized institution
• Professional qualification in Film/Video Editing, TV Production
• Two (2) years relevant experience

• Ability to make independent decisions
• Knowledge of routine(s)
• Strong people skills and the ability to work in a team
• Proficiency in FCP, Avid and use editing equipment (Betacam, DV machines, Consoles, Mics)
