Senior Environmental Research Officer at National Environment Management Authority (NEMA)

GRADE E6 - REF: HR/10/2017

An officer at this level will be responsible to the Chief Environmental Research Officer for effective co-ordination and supervision of research work.

Duties and Responsibilities

Specific duties at this level will include but not limited to:

1. Coordinating collaborative research network(s) in the country with other institutions with the objective of covering thematic and geographic areas of concern in the Authority;
2. Formulating the maximum requirements for research programmes in terms of parameters, indicators, data quality, etc;
3. Ensuring timeliness in the collection and analysis of results;
4. Ensuring timeliness in the dissemination of research findings.

Requirements for Appointment

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:

1. Bachelors Degree in any of the following field; Environmental Science, Natural Resource, Environmental Studies or its equivalent from a recognised institution.
2. Relevant post graduate qualification
3. Six (6) years experience in Environmental field.
4. Computer proficiency.
